I love Nordstrom, but with one bad experience it places you in a different perspective.
Brought my mom to alter her dress. Got helped from an older woman, blonde hair and an accent. Not much help which could be anyone but I was too upset to get her name.
My mom puts her dress on and she then starts to quote I think it will be $40, then says $70. While she starts marking and pinning there is a pricing sheet on the wall and had questioned her pricing from the sheet. She starts to get upset and stops pinning and brings a sheet out from her bag. She shows me what she’s now going to charge which is 78 for the dress and 48 for the extra that is part of the dress to hem off. So I’m getting annoyed at this point letting her know why are you now charging me $126 which you first said $70. She said well you wanna ask so I give you $126. I explain to her I’m going off of the sheet on the wall so I want to know her reasons. I said if that’s the price you should’ve said and we wouldn’t waste our time and I don’t want it. She said well you asked for it. From there I said we’re not going through, I walked out and asked for a manager. Alterations manager was out so another manager came out. Explained to her this woman’s actions and attitude which I did not appreciate it. She was super nice, offered to get someone else to help. I declined as I did not want to come here and bring my service to another company with a better attitude.
Another part during the fitting she tells my mom if she wants to tighten the sleeve no charge, so my mom says ok. While pinning she goes, I think this will be $48. I questioned her again, and said you just said you are not going to charge that part. She replies, oh no I need to.
I wasn’t asking for the service to be free. I wasn’t asking for the service to be cheap. I wanted an explanation. If you can’t tell me why you chose this charge amount and then go off of your actual pricing sheet after, and can’t explain to me the pricing on the wall, maybe you should think twice before giving a price to a customer so we’re not wasting anyones time.

I went back a week later on the last day of the sale and let them know about my experience...the sunglasses I wanted were in fact STILL on the display for the sale and they honored the sale price! I'm going home with the sunglasses I wanted! Thank you Miriam and Ashley!!!!
Really upset with the service we received from our recent visit. I recently came here during their July sale and specifically came to the sale section they had near the handbags. In that section they had a stand ADVERTISING Quay Sunglasses for under $50 as seen in the picture I took. On the stand there were nothing but quay sunglasses. I grabbed a pair I wanted..there were 4 others of the SAME one on the stand. I brought it to the sales rep to pay and she told me that they were not on sale. I proceeded to show her the stand that says they were on sale with the other 3 pairs and she told me it didn't matter. I asked for the manager and she told me there was no manager and that the sign was going to stay there and there was nothing more she was going to say about it. She was very rude. I was surprised that they allowed such a rude employee in nordstrom. Nordstrom has always been a store I go to when I want to spoil myself. They always have good sales reps and great quality items and I was shocked that I was treated that way by this employee. You can clearly see in the picture it says that the sunglasses are under 50 and you can see the 3 silver pairs that were on display I was holding a pair myself. Read moreI'm very upset with Nordstrom customer service,I got disappointed 2 times in a row within a week, which means something is going wrong in this company and it's services. Firstly I went to the store, and one of the associates ordered a dress online for me (inside the store), I asked her for a confirmation number or receipt once the order was submitted, so that I could keep track on it, she said she doesn't have anything to give me as a receipt, however I will receive an email anytime soon with a confirmation and a tracking number. Long story short I never received that email, and when I called them back a couple days afterward they found out there is nothing in my record showing that the order has been taken place. I was planning to wear the dress that weekend, so not only I NEVER received the dress, but also the order had never gone through. They didn't even bother to call me back and follow it up with me, even though they had my number. Secondly, I ordered a pair of shoes online, and I paid extra 9 dollars to receive it within 2 business days, I ordered it on Wednesday around 6 pm, and once I submitted it , the message said I will be receiving it by Friday at 9 pm, however after submission I logged into my account and it said I will receive it on Monday, and when I chatted with their associates they said the Wednesday evening at 6 pm was too late to order to be able to receive it by Friday, so it is shifted to Monday "WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW", which doesn't make sense at all.
