Amazing, Challenging and Addictive.
A++
This experience has really made my wife and I addicted to escape rooms, what a totally amazing experience. We were here visiting and met up with a couple of our friends and I suggested we do an escape room. We found Mind Twist and headed over.
Just to give you a bit about us, we were two couples, 35-40s. My wife and I had done one pirate themed escape room in Los Angeles with our daughter and the other two had never been.
A bit about escape rooms if you have never been, basically you are given a story and mission to get out of the room. There are multiple puzzles/ codes you need to break in order to get to the next part. Teamwork, is key. If you get stuck, you get a radio and you can call in for clues.
The first person I met was a kid who was working at one of their pop up escape rooms. I was absolutely blown away by his level of customer service, this kid could teach adults how to interact with people. He was very polite, kind and excited for us to be playing. He told us where to go to get to the main Mind Twist escape room. I was so impressed by this little gentleman that I immediately let the staff know when I arrived.
The first room we went in was the Steampunk room. VERY fun, Im not really into steam punk but i loved the story, the props were amazing, the little devices that unlock the various levels, very well done and spectacular.
The next room we did was Hannibal... O... M.... G.... LOVED This. so epic. I wont give up too many details but love the begining, all the details and wow... you really get immersed in the story.
So.... I didnt think we would be back but sure enough, we came back the following day with our GRANDMA! hahah we did the Stag Party, we all had a blast. We also broke the record for fastest time and no hints!!!! Some might be tempted to do just one but if I were to recommend to you... I would do them in this order. Stag Party, Steampunk and Hannibal. They have others but I didnt get a chance to do them.
I really dont want to spoil it for you but Im not easily impressed. I was BLOWN AWAY by the props, the details of the puzzles, the stories. this entire experience just really made our trip to Vegas and we come probably 1-3 times a year from Los Angeles. We are totally addicted to Escape rooms now.
Lastly I would like to comment on the owners/ staff. I cannot speak enough about the kindness and great energy that we felt from the kid at the kiosk to meeting the owners at Mind Twist. We spent extra time with them talking about escape rooms, their puzzles etc and they just went really above and beyond to make us feel welcome and share in our excitement for the game. We really felt like they value their customers experience and really went the extra mile to make our experience worthwhile.
I love the amount of detail, the puzzles (not to hard, not too easy) the story and all the extras they put into their games.
AMAZING TIME, cant wait to go...
Read moreMy husband and I did all the rooms at this location in early 2020 and were patiently waiting for the Alice's Dream room to be completed. We visited Vegas this past weekend and immediately went to this room our very first night in town. We've done well over 150 escape rooms together (escaping over 90% of the time) and consider ourselves pretty well-versed. We brought 2 newbie friends and thought we'd have a great time with the balance of experience/lack of. The room itself is cool with nice effects but unfortunately some of the locks weren't reset which took a lot of the fun out if it. And I won't go into detail so I don't ruin some aspects for future players - however some of the items in the room weren't "working" and took a lot of the fun out of it, as well, since the gamemaster had to just tell us a couple codes/pop things themselves since things weren't in working order. We've been looking forward to this room since pre-covid when it was up and coming and were really disappointed. We escaped but it wasn't very satisfying. Still gets 3 stars, though, for the other rooms we did here at this location that we completed successfully last year, which we thoroughly enjoyed! (Cannibal, Steampunk, "Hangover", and the Christmas Story pop-up). Expensive disappointment this time around,...
Read moreWow! My kids have been begging me to go to an escape room for a couple years and I finally gave in and reserved a room for their birthdays at Mind twist.. I joined them in the “hunt” last minute in the “steampunk themed” room, and it was AWESOME!!! We had 7 people from the ages of 5 to 34 unscrambling clues and I can honestly say this was one of the most fun things I have done with my kids.. the room kept you captivated and the time flew by. we solved the room in 52 minutes (you get 1 hour) and after we got done we were immediately making plans to come back to do the other rooms. Steampunk was suggested by the very friendly staff since we had younger kids. But they had a very Intense looking adult orientated room that I can’t wait to bring some friends too.. all in all this was a great experience. The staff was amazing!! And I felt like it was worth every dollar we spent!!! Check them out in the fashion show mall!!! Thanks mind twist for the life...
