Read moreI checked in yesterday, was given pool hours, told it would open at 9. I woke up early, got in my swimsuit and went down. It was closed and the security guard had zero info about when it was opening or why it was closed. I spoke to multiple front desk employees, none of whom knew anything. Even the manager didn't know what was up. Turns out, they changed the hours.... Since YESTERDAY. Even management was not informed... Talk about disorganized!
The whole Treasure Island experience in 2021 has not been good. They think offering a couple of bucks for food and beverage credit is suffient to balance false advertising... I will be contacting Hotels.com about this and I'm hoping their customer service skills are a little better than at TI. My gold membership on Hotels.com entitles me to perks at VIP properties, which TI is. None of my perks were given except the food and beverage credit, lol. That way, they can still make money when you spend more.... $25 for a salad 🤣 $10 for a beer... Doesn't take long to blow thru a $50 credit!
I don't blame the specific employees. I blame the ownership of Treasure Island for being so disorganized. But it is quite funny that as soon as I mentioned writing a review, that's when I got offered a food and beverage credit... and since it was not a threat, and just simply a fact, that I would share my experience, I'm still here writing it as I eat my overpriced Salad, waiting for the pool to finally open while shiver in the air conditioning, still wearing my swsuit... 🤣🤣 What a joke!
I came here because I have a giant back tattoo of a pirate ship and love all things pirates. But you couldn't pay me to come back here unless they get new ownership. I'll leave a full hotel review, but this is just the pool experience. Good luck if you end up coming here! The chaos and lack of communication within the company is truly shocking. Hostel Cat, a $25 a night hostel room, has been a better...
Read moreTI was, for the most part, clean & accessible. Free parking for hotel guests, and the garage was right off one of the inlets to the Strip from nearby I-15, which allows you to use the highway (rather than slow & clogged up Las Vegas Blvd) to easily access other resorts further south.
TI's location on the Strip is also nice because of its direct neighbors (The Venetian/Pallazzo, Mirage, Wynn) and prime shopping (the Fashion Show Mall & the aforementioned resort shops).
Seems to be an older adult crowd at this end of the Strip, not the barely 21 crowd you see towards the south end. That said, TI was kid-friendly and had activities for minors (Avengers experience, nice pool).
Docked one 🌟 for a lingering trash dump smell on our floor that lasted longer than 24 hours. Would give half that star back if I could for how well the front desk responded, moving us up a floor and to a nicer room for our...
