What was supposed to be a memorable moment with my family turned into a bitter sweet memory 🫤🥲,as we arrived the line at the entrance was moving fast probably too fast for my husband phone to load our tickets which took us to encounter ourselves in an very unpleasant situation as the guy at the door Theo started to shout at my husband for the tickets be little did he cared he scared my youngest one and make her cry to what my husband ask him to: relax ,well that make him scale his rude actitud to the worst,he told my husband that he made the rules and he will be the one tell who to relax ,that he (my husband had no idea who he was)to what my husband ask was his name (all did happen in seconds and by then he had finally scanned our tickets) His reply (Theo) are you aware that I know were your sitting (🤦🏻♀️was that a treat?)I interfered and told Theo all we wanted was to have a good time with our family, well it seems like finally we were gonna going and forget the whole thing but no as we started walking in Theo took a few steps back and while my husband and my brother in law are walking in my husband shoulder brushed his (the space is quite narrow and I know my husband would never put us through that kind of situation also while I think of it Theo would probably have move back with that intention which if he did ; I’m sorry that there is such a miserable kind of people 🫤)than he proceeded to pull back my husband from his jacket saying he was calling security.after that whole ordeal I managed to calm my daughter and security came they were very nice and understanding of the situation. What was happening with Theo to act the way he did , is he a racist,or just another person that hates their job and takes on others?🤷🏻♀️we were allowed in (I just wanted to leave, and didn’t cry just because it with make things worse for my kids)and did allow my kids to go for pop corn or use the bathroom or stop buy merchandise I didn’t want to give this guy to target us once again . Neither my brother in law,my husband or myself enjoyed the show.I been working on costumer services for over two decades and believe while I do not allow disrespect , I always look for the most appropriate response to every situation and shouting is not one.So there’s that all the hard work of this artist and I couldn’t enjoy (actually the distraction guy he did pull out a few genuine laughs). And if my opinion is of any value when hiring someone keep in mind people comes here for a good time to unwind from...
Read moreMystère by Cirque du Soleil is a celebrated show that has captivated audiences for years, but my recent experience left me feeling somewhat confused and a bit disappointed. The performance features a blend of acrobatics, dance, and theatricality, showcasing the incredible talents of the performers. While the artistry and athleticism on display were undeniably impressive, I found myself struggling to grasp the storyline, which seemed to lack clarity and cohesion.
From the moment the show began, I was greeted with a vibrant and colorful spectacle. The set design is stunning, featuring intricate details that create a whimsical and dreamlike atmosphere. The costumes are equally remarkable, with bold colors and imaginative designs that enhance the fantastical elements of the performance. The performers themselves are incredibly skilled, executing breathtaking acrobatics and mesmerizing choreography that left me in awe of their talent.
However, despite the impressive visuals and athletic feats, I found the storyline to be confusing. It felt disjointed at times, making it difficult to follow the narrative thread throughout the performance. I had expected to be fully immersed in a captivating story that would leave me feeling inspired and entertained, but instead, I left feeling perplexed and somewhat underwhelmed. The lack of a clear narrative arc made it challenging to connect emotionally with the performance, which is something I had hoped for from a Cirque du Soleil show.
While the individual acts were captivating, they didn’t seem to flow together in a way that created a cohesive experience. I appreciated the creativity and artistry behind each performance, but I wished for a stronger connection between them. Perhaps I had set my expectations too high, thinking I would be wowed from start to finish, and in that regard, I was left wanting more.
In conclusion, Mystère by Cirque du Soleil is a visually stunning show with incredibly talented performers, but the confusing storyline detracted from my overall enjoyment. While I admire the artistry and skill on display, I had hoped for a more engaging and coherent experience. If you're a fan of Cirque du Soleil and enjoy breathtaking acrobatics, it's still worth seeing, but be prepared for a narrative that may not resonate as strongly as you...
Read moreThis was a great experience, even though out seats were not the best.
The best seats are not where you might think. We were in Section 105 row B seats 7 and 8. That is 2nd row and the furthest to the side you can get. At one point a performer was perched on the railing next to me. However, being that close you miss a lot of the show, and being on the side you miss more, because they do come out over the audience, and being on the side you miss a lot that happens on the sides of the stage.
This isn't a large auditorium, so back seats are still not bad seats. I suggest section 203, that is the middle and in the back. You will have an amazing view from anywhere in that section, but the best seats in the house would be 203 either row AA seats 1-4 or DD 8-10
They do have concessions, but the prices are extremely high.
There is some pre-show entertainment that is funny.
There is some comedy mixed in with the performance.
The bad: There are only 2 bad things. First, while waiting for the show to start, they play baby sounds. A loop of really annoying baby sounds. At one point I said "someone shut that kid up" and the people around me all were enthusiastically in agreement.
The other may just be me, but they use fog machines a LOT, and apparently I was allergic to something in them. I chose to stay and it took 2 hours after for me to be able to breathe properly, and 5-6 hours for my eyes to stop burning and watering. If you have a sensitivity to things like that, go for one of the back section seats.
Ultimately, this was the highlight of our trip, plus it's at Treasure Island and they have...
