*Update: We did receive a full refund. I thank the Rock house for that.
I never expected having to deal with the disappointment and chaos from this establishment the day we got married. My husband and I flew out 20+ of our closest friends and family to Las Vegas for our wedding, and months prior I decided to choose The Rockhouse for my wedding reception following our ceremony. We were searching for karaoke, and an overall good time to celebrate our marriage and wow this place was extremely misleading. What a huge mistake, and waste of our time/money. I was placed in contact with a representative and sent a contract stating I would have to pay a deposit with the balance being paid 2 weeks prior to our date for over 1K including $44/person in order to secure a private area for our wedding reception as well as open bar. This was no problem, since we were promised a semi-private area in the main restaurant, karaoke, games, beer pong, open bar etc., for our guests. My husband went down with my son earlier in the morning to give the establishment wedding favor bags we put together for our guests and we were ensured it was no problem for these to be distributed among the seats prior to our arrival. The lady even told them if we get back early to come on down and everything will be ready to go and they were looking forward to seeing everyone. Well, we walked into a complete mess and were handed the bag of favors to hand out ourselves. Guests were paying for their own drinks, and standing at high top bar tables spread out in the bar ENTRANCE of the mall/casino. We could have easily walked into the main restaurant and had been sat immediately without a deposit “securing our spot”. The manager at the time was doing all in his power to accommodate us elsewhere in the restaurant, attempting to provide what we were promised. He was able to contact the rep and explain our frustration and dissatisfaction, she was extremely annoyed with us for even interrupting her day. Multiple times she tried to end the conversation and told us to simply deal with it, claiming we knew what we were getting, which was nothing close to the contractual agreements. She put in no efforts to improve the situation or satisfy 20+ upset customers. She had nothing but disregard for the situation. Luckily, we found another karaoke establishment KAMU more than willing to accommodate us and provided us with a great time. One of our close friends had to pay a $200 tab of food/drinks ordered within the 15-30 minutes we were there in order to leave and enjoy ourselves at a different location. We were very...
Read moreI used to work here a little while back and I thought I should share how disrespectfully and unprofessionally employees get treated here on a daily basis, specifically our general manager Jennifer would constantly try to intimidate and undermine her workers, have very little compassion for their personal problems and needs, her focus was not keeping a happy, healthy work environment I would compare it more to walking on eggshells constantly to avoid her childish explosions of anger and disappointment. I was accused as an 18 year old girl working in the back of the house of creating a “flirty environment” in the kitchen to get free food when I was offered by the cooks only when the food was extra and to be thrown away. I witnessed her have an entire breakdown to the point where screaming in the office and cussing on our radios during a private event mind you our radios are in earshot of our guests. I was screamed at regularly if I was in the restroom for longer than about 5 minutes, like nobody has to take a shit on the clock😹. When I eventually couldn’t take it anymore and put my two weeks in, she proceeded to tell me how it just wasn’t a wise decision when I said it was for mental health reasons and that I was literally starting to hate my life because of my job, she ended up slamming down the resignation paper down on the table and throwing the pen down, just proving to me more that I was right in my decision to leave. I highly recommend she be removed from her position in consideration for those still working under her sideways and...
Read moreI usually look past things most people complain about, and rarely leave a negative review, but this place deserves one. It started out with a friendly server, but went downhill from there. The appetizer (loaded tots) came out wrong (requested ranch on the side because my husband doesn't eat ranch), it came drenched in ranch. We politely sent it back and server was nice about it, when the correct order came out, they were delicious. Then our burger came out wrong, so again we politely sent it back. This time, the guy who brought it out (not our server), slammed it down on the table and just walked away. With his attitude, we weren't sure he didn't spit on it. Also, it was missing the fries we had ordered to go with it. At this point, we didn't want the fries, so no big deal, but my husband had ordered a 3rd 20 oz beer, and they brought him 16oz beer, along with our ticket that charged us for the fries we didn't get and 3 20oz beers. My husband's not always as friendly as I am, but he was super polite when pointing out the errors to the server. However, the server told him, the 3rd beer (which was still sitting in front of him) WAS a 20oz beer, it just came in a shorter, fatter glass. When my husband pointed to the "16oz" clearly printed on the glass, she snatched the ticket and walked away. Also, my chicken strips were way overcooked and tasted like they were cooked in 2 week old oil. We would have gladly looked past the mistakes and the sub-par food, but the attitudes were too much. Two stars, only because the loaded tots and ice...
