A few months ago I visited the Roche Bobois showroom in Paramus, New Jersey and I was amazed beyond belief. It was synonymous to that feeling you get on Christmas Day before you open your gifts underneath the tree. Not only was the showroom exquisitely put together, super welcoming, and presenting an enormous number of great pieces, it’s the staff that made the difference for me.
I had the great pleasure of working with their in-house interior designer, LUCY . She greeted me warmly and made me feel instantly at ease. She told me a brief history about the brand and it’s collections and invited me to take my time exploring without pestering me when I did. It was the perfect synergy that allowed me to think on my own about what direction I wanted to move to.When I’d finally focused in on what I wanted, that’s when LUCY’S innate understanding of space and design really shone. She was genuinely interested in getting exactly the right pieces for my home. We went over options together, sizes, fabrics working to create harmony in my space. Her indefatigable enthusiasm, keen insight, and clear love of what she does helped guide me through an exceptionally easy purchasing process.
Roche Bobois is the pinnacle of modern furniture design. Every piece is as unique as it is beautiful. From the Lift bar with its remote-controlled operating system to the Scenario sofa and its incomparable comfort and functionality, each piece is a showstopper.
Will I be back? Absolutely. Will I work with LUCY? She’s the only interior designer for me. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with the truly unique space that she can created for you. As a physician I can definitely say she’s a “ doctor of interior designing “ unlike any other. If you don’t believe me, I challenge you to just stop in the store take a look at the furniture art and ask LUCY to show you some of her work.
LUCY is synonymous with LIFE CHANGING...
Read moreI wanted to write a positive review of Roche Bobois as some of their pieces are beautiful, however, my experience after purchasing the Evol table has been subpar for a luxury brand.
The table arrived in October, and about two weeks later, I noticed that the black chrome finish had some defects on the bottom part of the table frame (something you wouldn't notice unless you were on the ground looking at it closely...after dropping my pen)
I notified Roche immediately and was given the standard, "we are looking into it and have notified our factory". Every 2 weeks, I would get a notice that they are still looking into it. This continued through Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb. The local customer service rep recommended I apply car polish to see if it fixed the defect. I finally had enough and filed a claim with Amex. They put a credit hold against Roche and within a few days, Roche notified Amex that they delivered the product successfully as contracted, and I was supposed to notify them about any issues within 72 hours. Amex subsequently released the hold. I didn't want to go through the hassle as it wasn't worth my time to argue with shady business people over a $4000 table.
One thing is for sure, the company has as much quality as the defect in their products. Their customer care chief and their CEO don't care about the quality of their products but more on their deceptive ways to collect premium prices for 2nd rate products.
Do yourself a favor, there are many other choices for quality furniture: cross off Roche Bobois from your list. No wonder they have an "outlet" now, an admission to their low quality products now...
Read moreI do NOT love the Paramus location. Been a customer of Roche Bobois for several years and this Paramus location is in need of Customer Service OVERHAUL. My daughter, 18, told me how she watched the woman look at us from head to toe. Must not have looked $$$ enough to warrant her rising from the chair. Thankfully, my daughter also said " I hope she has more happiness in her life, because obviously she is very down and sullen, and it must be how she lives every day". Perception. There was also a new hire on the floor,, and sadly,, had no knowledge of even the basics. And the " angry" manager didn't want to help her either. Thing is, I'm already a client. I was there to make a purchase. Instead, we drove 60 minutes, excited to see the new MahJong " platforms " ( new as in...Summer 2021, still not on the floor) for nothing, and - as it was also a floor sample sale period, was unable to ascertain which floor models had already been sold. I will make sure to steer the other friends that admire my living room, to a NYC or LI store. Shameful! ** Photo of the chaise noone...
