Orlando and all the front desk staff, specifically Haley and Luke, always greet us with smiling faces when we walk in the door. Not only is the front desk staff friendly, they treat my son & I like family and are always taking time out of their day to exchange conversations with us. Anytime we have a question or need something, they are always there to help. We get smoothies several times a week after our workouts & they are simply delicious. The gym has an amazing selection of cardio equipment, machines & free weights. They have everything you would want plus more. There’s also an indoor track & pool for your cardio sessions. I’ve been a member of 24e since the opening of the original 24e in Hoover & their gyms are simply the best. You won’t find another gym with better equipment & facilities!
Kidzone!!! Well, kidzone is simply the best! The teachers are amazing! Miss Melinda is a kind hearted grandmother who has had numerous years of childcare experience. Miss Dara, head teacher of kidzone, and Miss Paige hold a special place in our hearts as they were some of the original teachers who helped my son get adjusted to being without “mommy”. They really took my son under their wings when we first started coming to kidzone, as my son had never even had a babysitter before. They treated my son like their own child and helped him transition of being in a new place. Now my son absolutely loves coming to kidzone every day and even beats me to the door to get in. All the teachers are so very kind to all the kids that come to play at kidzone. Melinda, Dara, Paige, Lauren, Lil & Anna are awesome teachers who are the kindest & sweetest teachers to my son. I wouldn’t trust anyone else taking care...
Read moreBeautiful, spacious, well-equipped gym. But that's not the best part. The staff is incredible. Was given a tour by Luke, about the nicest guy on the planet. Then met with Brenda who oversees the personal trainer part of the business. She is highly intelligent, professional, and she greeted each person who entered the gym - even though she was talking with me.
She used a machine to do a body scan and then discussed the results with me, and I have another evaluation in a couple of weeks. I joined the gym and also purchased 3 months of personal training. It's incredibly affordable, it's close to my office, and their equipment is second to none in quality and in sheer number. I start this Thursday! Can't wait! I highly recommend 24e!
Update May 5, 2022: Personal trainer Miller Vilandia is the real deal. While serving in the Columbian military, he took a grenade in combat and it blew out a knee, broke an arm, damaged his back, and blinded his left eye.
His family told him to back away and just enjoy his settlement. To retreat from life. He said, "No way." He rehabbed his body, trained for kickboxing, then competed in MMA for 12 years and fought 16 times. With one eye and a reconstructed knee. Inspirational!
He moved to the states and started studying English at night while learning to be a Personal Trainer during the day. He has one of the most inspirational and awe-inspiring stories I've ever heard - and I'm training with him three days per week for the next year. If you're looking for a Personal Trainer, give Miller a call at 24e gym,...
Read moreThis place can be irritating. I've never been to a gym where so few people wiped down the equipment. Disgusting. Some equipment has signs saying out of order or scheduled for service but it doesn't seem like they'll ever actually service them. The worst part is the sauna. It's rarely hot enough, but even worse, moms use it to change their children out of their bathing suits and let their children play in it. A sauna is for relaxing... I shouldn't have to deal with loud children running back and forth, in and out, and holding the door wide open. They also use the shower stalls to change their kids, but don't even use the showers. One time, I went to shower after a workout before work and there was no hot water! Thankfully it was back on after a sauna session, but imagine if that had happened on a morning before work! They're also often out of shampoo/soap in the showers (thankfully I bring my own) and many of the wipe stations are often out of wipes to clean the equipment. The hair dryers don't always work. And I know this is nit picky, but the clock in the locker room went without the needed new batteries for months. They probably still haven't been replaced. Oh, and let's not forget the high school kids that come to the gym just to sit on equipment and chit chat or play on their phones and don't even work out! They literally only get a second star because I can do my cardio in the dark... It's like a...
