If I could rewind time and get 35 minutes of my life back I would. We arrive at the DQ at 4:02 (I remember because we were running late and only had about 10 minutes to get food and go) there are two people in front of us (a group of 6) the lady is berating the poor girl behind the counter for a $1.08 refund and she finally gets it. The guy behind her orders and then we get our chance. Wasn't a big order. Only a smoothie and a blizzard. However it took them another 30 minutes to bring us our order. As I turn to take my seat to wait I am dumbfounded by the filth that is the eating space. There is some unidentifiable liquid on the floor next to 6 dirty tables (that I could see), both trash cans completely full. And food sitting on the counter for who knows how long. Fast forward 15 minutes. A couple is sitting with their little number marker waiting for their food, the woman in front of us asks for the manager 2 more times and they've run out of chocolate sauce. I finally get my blizzard after 20 minutes. My husband has yet to see his smoothie, and the girls with us haven't even been able to order. The worst part of this is the lone employee who speaks badly of customers to other customers. Never once washed his hands (despite trips outside and picking a backpack off the floor before coming back be hind the counter) and a manager who complains about it being a Sunday and them running out of pennies. Management is lacking, service was slow, and I have never gone in to a food establishment afraid to sit down because of lack of hygiene. Please fix this. Two years ago this place was wonderful. Now it is a cesspool of...
Read moreThis location has never been the best, but it was acceptable. I don't know what happened recently, though, but it's become just gross. The meal I ordered today, for example, was a FlameThrower combo with no tomatoes and coke to drink, plus an order of cheese curds. I got the wrong drink, the fries were cold (not just "not hot," but actually cold), and the burger...wow. First, it had a tomato, but I can usually forgive that. The worst part was that it was clearly microwaved from an already not fresh state. Just some leftover sandwich that they reheated. The bun was soggy and tough, the lettuce was brown and mushy, the tomato was falling apart, and everything was glued together and impossible to separate without tearing it apart. The whole sandwich, bun and all, was scalding hot to the touch even after a 10 minute drive back to work. Not in the freshly made sense, but in the left in the microwave too long and now it's like touching the surface of the sun sense. It was just nasty and there's no telling how long or under what conditions it was left out beforehand. I had to get back to work and couldn't take it back, but I wouldn't have trusted a replacement, anyway.
The cheese curds were alright. Didn't get any...
Read moreI left two stars because the barbecue sandwich that I had was pretty good. Otherwise it was a pretty horrible stop for lunch. I had to wait at the counter till someone in the back of the restaurant acknowledged I was there then I ordered and got my drink cup. I went to the self serve drink machine where I found there was no ice so I went back to the counter and waited for someone to get ice for me. Then, back to the drink machine only to find out they were out of everything that was Diet. Back to the counter to request Coke Zero and was advised they only had Diet Coke. I settled for unsweetened tea then found there was no sweetener. Back to the counter to request sweetener. And to request a lid for my cup because there were none at the drink machine. Besides all of this, the restaurant was dirty. It was very ill supplied and not very well kept. And the people or very indifferent as to whether they had customers or not. No apologies for any inconvenience. I guess this is normal for them. I will definitely avoid this Dairy Queen location. Fortunately I had a better experience at a different location recently so I want write off the entire...
