My wife and I saw an advertisement on Facebook that said there was an event happening nearby and they were selling 20 ribeye steaks for $39.00. We decided to attend this event thinking there was going to be a big display of meats that people can browse and choose whatever they would like. This was not the case. When we arrived we saw a trailer and a line of people and a table about 30 feet away with a small tent and tables with boxes of various meats. The table was too far to see what they had because they would not allow you to go see what they had. If you tried to walk up to the table they would have somebody come up to you and divert your attention away from what was on the table. They took 1 person at a time, and after watching what was going on, they were clearly giving a customer sales pitch. Remember, we simply came for the ribeyes that were 20 for $39.00. By the way the steaks as we found out were 4 oz breakfast steaks that were very thin! It took over an hour for us to get to this table and there were only 8 people in front of us when we got in line. We noticed right away that there were no prices for us to look at before we got to the front of the line and we didnât know any of the details such as the prices or types of meat they had until we got to the table. Another noticeable touch is they had music blasting which to me, they were trying to drown out conversations between the sales people and the customer so we couldnât hear any detailed information. When we were 3 people back from being helped, the woman in front of me left. Yea, she was almost ready to be helped but she left! A few minutes later a man from the back of the line expressed his frustration and wondered why the line was going so slow and he told the sales people that 10 people had left and that if the line doesnât move faster people were going to continue to leave. Well, the reason the line was long was because they were doing an entire sales pitch for each customer like I mentioned earlier. Towards the end of the sales pitch we noticed they were giving the customer a price sheet but we couldnât see it from where we were standing. Finally we approached the table and I immediately said to the sales person that they need to be running this differently because weâve been waiting in line for so long. I asked why donât they have prices on flyers or pamphlets for people to look at BEFORE they get to the front of the line. I said everything is a mystery until we are helped. He then told me that they had a sign that had the prices but it broke which I know he was not telling the truth! I told the salesperson that my wife and I are here for the deal on the ribeye steaks and thatâs it! I donât want your sales pitch! I told him that I keep seeing people walking out with boxes of stuff which clearly were talked into spending when they didnât want to. He kept assuring me that I can just get what I want so at this, he reaches under the table and pulls out a flyer which showed us the prices and my jaw dropped. We were looking at $600, $500, $400 you name it for these meat packages and I said I am not paying that much money for this meat, there is no way. I said once again, I came for the ribeye deal! I told him that I was going to leave and I gestured to my wife that we should go and I did this numerous times and he kept dropping the price. Finally he dropped the price down to $130 or something along those lines which tells me that they were charging a lot more money than the food was actually worth in hopes that people were going to buy it for that price AND THEY DID! You canât tell me that youâre going to have a $600 meat package on a flyer and then drop that down to $130 without any issues. It is a massive scam. Donât be afraid to walk away, trust me! What makes it worse is we started to reply on their Facebook post about our experience and every time we replied, they were deleting our messages. If you want meat, go to Fryâs or go to Walmart or go to your favorite butcher and try to get a deal that way because this is an...
Read moreSo I had no idea that there were meat companies whose product is straight up trash, like their steaks aren't even real cuts! They're like a bunch of scraps all squished together and then glued it seems. This is a "new york" cut that was defrosted in the fridge overnight. I'm not gonna lie and say that they were high pressure sales people, just typical sales people. I'm the dump truck who payed for it. But shame on you sales people for selling this trash to the public. You can't convince me that you don't know exactly what your selling. And at the price! I'm one of those people who say you get what you pay for. And for the price I paid, plus a tip that was well over $100.00! I would've gladly paid the tip just to have someone tell me not to buy this crap! Like I said Ima stupid. Only after I've made the discovery of this felonious purchase did I do a little homework and seen the majority of reviews on their very own website are of people with the same exact things I'm saying now! All their 5star reviews are of people who have just made the purchase and we're still on site. Hadn't made it home yet. Reason why I'm saying all this is hopefully this gets around and other people can learn from my mistake. I've never ever made a review or posted for the public. I'm not trying to get views or likes or nothing like that. I saw their ad here so here is where I make my stand. PLEASE REPOST THIS, SHARE THIS, AND GET THE WORD OUT!
KENSTON FARMS.....I'm not saying don't buy their product, all I'm saying is go to their website, look at reviews and all the pics from unsatisfied customers. Hell look at the pic in this post and ask yourself. Does that look like a NewYork Steak to you? Worst part of it is that I cheated on my local butcher shop with a 3 tooth lot lizard. SWINGLES.......IM SORRY BABY! I PROMISE IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! I LOVE YOU! P.S. Had to put 1 star just to post this...

đđ Currently making an update to the prior review. After the salesman wrote the review himself off of my phone that he took OUT OF my hand and posted it without my knowing of what the review said. Definitely a less than stellar âdealâ on meat. He spoke very fast, used confusing terms on their product, and refused to show us the price breakdown form he was holding for what I wanted to buy. After asking for a moment to think about possibly spending over $1,000 on poorly processed meat, he continued to rapidly talk about how great of a deal it all was. After being heavily pressured into a sale I wasnât fond of, I ended up going back to the truck to return the meat⌠based on the stipulations from their return policy on their website. Was told to âthrow the meat away if we didnât want it and message the farm on Facebookâ to deal with the return. Crazy. They were unable to issue a refund themselves. I did a price comparison to our local butcher. For the same cuts and weight of meat that donât have anything in the except for MEAT (no preservatives unlike the meat from the truck) I wouldâve spent $400 LESS on quality meat under a lot less stress and sleazy sales tactics. Iâd rather talk to a car salesman than these yahoos. After a less than stellar buying experience and an even worse attempt at returning product I was unhappy with, if I could give negative stars I would. Definitely wouldnât recommend buying from them. The â20 ribeyes for $39.99â is a total sham to get you in the door. The ribeyes were as thin as paper and had no real meat color to them. Definitely a ripoff. Drove 45 minutes to the truck excited to fill my freezer with quality meat that seemed to be a good deal and left frustrated, angry, broke (haha), and upset that a company treats people...
