I came into the pelham location in March to upgrade my S22+ to the 24 Ultra. I left after paying the taxes for the phone with both devices so I could get the data transfered from my old device to the new one. The next day I stopped by a corporate location to turn in the older S22+ for trade in value. I was told by the corporate location employee that I wouldn't have to pay taxes for the new phone had I purchased it from a corporate location instead of an authorized retailer. I was very upset of course, believing I had been cheated. I returned to the Pelham authorized retailer for Verizon, intending to return the phone. The staff told me that a $50 restocking fee would be required to do so. At this point I was even more upset at the situation.
After much discussion I learned that the taxes for an upgrade would be charged regardless. With corporate locations they charge the taxes for the full price of the phone over the 36 month agreement and the authorized retailers charge the taxes up front (this is the policy of those location). You still pay the same price either way.
The staff at the Pelham location handled this perfectly. Justice Gibbs and Megan Childress were very respectful, patient and professional during the transaction. I've rarely experienced this level of service. This is what I look for when deciding who to spend my money with. I walked in very upset and walked out informed and happy about my purchase.
I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone living/working in the Pelham, AL are or anyone driving through. Of the 10 or more Verizon stores I've visited this is 100% the best. Thank you Megan and Justice for taking such great care...
Read moreLeft AT&T to join a plan with my fiancé. Decided to go with two promos they were offering for the holidays. One of the promos included getting a new iPad. Our sales associate said they were out of stock in the pink so they would have to order & it would take no more than two days to get in. A week goes by & no one could tell us a shipping status on the iPad, then to find out the pink iPad was back ordered & wouldn’t even be shipped for nearly another month. No one disclosed this to us. We go back into the store because they had other iPads in stock & as we are activating the iPad they inform us our first sales associate didn’t do our plan right & they needed adjust some things to give us the best deal possible. After getting home & comparing the two plans they wiped the promos we originally wanted, & added hidden fees. I called Verizon twice & luckily they corrected the issues & agreed that we got a worse deal & they weren’t entirely sure why they changed it up in the first place. I’m not sure if the staff doesn’t know what they are doing but it became such a confusing experience. Read moreJust got off the phone with Justin at the Pelham store. He was incredibly helpful. Every time I have contacted the store in Pelham I have been blown away by their service. Justin always goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers are taken care of. I no longer call Verizon, as I can get more accomplished in a single call to this store than I can get done in 50 calls to the Verizon customer line. Again, huge shout out to Justin for always make sure that we are taken care of. Overall, this call exceeded my expectations, and I was left feeling confident in my decision. It's rare to find such a helpful and knowledgeable team, and I will definitely return for any future needs.
