Nueva Michoacana 2 — Restaurant in Pelham

Very good tacos. Our favorite was the Asada, followed by the Pastor. The seasonings on the Asada was awesome. Didn't even need sauce or salt. The Chorizo, Campechano, and Pollo were just average. The salsas were pretty good, not a ton of depth, but not bad either. If you like a mild green salsa, their salsa verde is quite nice. The tacos are served with radishes and grilled onions. The tacos are small, but quite moist and tasty. I would typically eat 3 or 4.

Their Gorditas are pretty good too. The only one I've had was the Aldilla (steak rubbed in chili). It was alright.

We also tried the Chicharron Preparado, which was totally new to me. It seems like it is a Mexican snack, it kinda reminded me of a taco salad. The cueritos (picked soft pig fat) on it must be an acquired taste. It reminded me of pickled jello vinegar lol.

We got the piña drink, it was nice. The desserts are quite authentic as well. We had the Ferrero Rocher ice cream with M&M's. Very fun...

My family and I have spent soooo much money here. As a reward incentive, I allow my girls to buy toys from the machine. We have actually lost money in the machine, but I never mentioned. But it continued happening. So, I told my 9 year old to inform the staff when that happens moving forward. On today, she lost her money in the machine and went to tell staff. The young lady told her the machine that’s in their facility isn’t their machine and they will no longer reimburse the loss. I saw my daughter was visibly sad. I asked what happened. Then, gave her more money. Although it was a tough life lesson she now understands what poor customer service looks like. It didn’t seem that our business was appreciated. Because of our experience over .25 we will no longer be patronizing this...

I wish I had found this place sooner during our stay in Pelham! I like to try street tacos in lots of different parts of the country. These rank up there with some of the best. The Horchata was super tasty as well. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the ice cream, but it looks yummy! Give this place a try for lunch and/or a tasty treat. You won't be...
