So, I've been shopping here on and off for a couple of years and visited the self-serve food area more than a dozen times. Today, an older lady was cleaning up as I approached with my child. A gentleman was already there serving himself. As she sees me, she asks, "What you want?" in aggressive broken English. At first, I'm a little confused as A. Obviously, Im there for food and B. I've never been asked that before. She says a few things in Spanish with her hands gesticulating in a shoo-ing motion, so at first I thought she meant the food was old or bad or something, I was so wrong in giving the benefit of the doubt. She then turns to the man serving himself and asks if he speaks English and she repeats herself. Probably realizing what was said kinda ducks his head and tells her to give me a plate. When she does, I start serving myself rice. She stands really close to me and says " quatro" and signs 4. I ignore her and get as much as I like and move on. She then watches me serve beans, and she starts talking again, probably indicating I needed more rice or something, and she rolls her eyes and walks off with a sigh and gets back to work. That was a bad experience. Even now, I'm trying to say the woman was SENILE or something, but she didn't police to man ahead of me or the women behind me. I only went in there because my kid likes the beans. The cashiers are usually friendly, but the supermarket itself leaves much to be...
Read moreOMG I couldn’t believe my eyes and the manager (Hispanic, gray hair, light eyes, white dress shirt) had NO CARE IN THE WORLD when bringing it to his attention. If I could give them 0 zero stars I would. I came back to add to this review. I live literally next door and I stop by just for snacks at exactly 7:45. I noticed there’s barely anyone here. I’m hungry but unsure what snacks to get so I walked from the front of the store to the back. As I’m walking back and fourth, I noticed the security at the door walking back and fourth as I’m walking back and fourth and it made me so upset. Then I walk towards the back of the store and I noticed the manager (light eyes) come out the back. I spoke to the manager on purpose and asked for the security’s name but he didnt want to give me his name. Instead he tells me don’t worry about him. I told him I didn’t appreciate what he did and explains to him that just because I’m black does not mean I steal. I also mentioned to him that I’m Cuban as well. The manager than went to telling me not to worry about him. What a disgrace! I swear this world will forever be racist and it’s...
Read moreLike every 2 weeks or so the run a meat special were the priceis $1 to $1.50 less a pound but boy does one need to navigate to get it. First you can only buy one deal, you also have to spend $10 or more on another meat item then when you go to pay the cashier has to wait for a manager to come to make sure one actially purchased the mandatory $10 and then approve the sale. Meanwhile there's only one floor manager running from register to register approving what we are paying, a trip that should've taken 15 minutes turns into a one hour trip. Another waste is to try to return anything that you purchased there, if you don't have a receipt please make sure to bring a priest to convince them on your behalf otherwise you are stuck with the item because they wouldn't even offer you store credit.I have tried unsuccessfully to write to their corporate office but have not found and email nor a street...
