Fourth Street Nails — Local services in Philadelphia

So I have been here several times. One particular time I was going on vacation and needed for perfection. Or at least a decent paint job that would look great in the sun, and water. I came today, mine you I traveled 40 minutes paid for parking as well. They told me before I paid for parking that they close at 5 and that I would be able to receive a pedicure. They ran the water after I paid for parking, I reentered in which they were speaking in a language foreign to me but seemed to be arguing. They said they had a appointment at 4:30 it was 10 of 4 when I arrived. They then proceeded to tell me that they really couldn’t do it. Wow really I paid for parking ya could’ve said that when I came threw the door. It seemed like they remembered that on my last visit I asked them to repolish my nails twice it had been acetone added to the color I had and it made the polish very thin I watched her do it in front of me before she start my manicure. I asked them if they were gonna rush I don’t want my toes done they said they couldn’t do them ok fine I then asked for a manicure they said they couldn’t do that either she said you want a lot so I asked to you just not want me as a customer she said it don’t matter wow… If I was in a service business of this caliber. I would have definitely at least let my customer know that today isn’t a good day but I still would like you to come back maybe earlier so that we can give you a little more time if you need it. Today I didn’t need it I just wanted a simple manicure nothing more nothing less I’m going home after the freaking nailery not to a white beach...

Today was my third time going to 4th Street Nails for a gel manicure. I had a positive experience the first two times and was looking forward to patronizing this nail salon regularly. Unfortunately today’s experience was a negative one, so I won’t be patronizing them again. While the manicurist was cutting my cuticles she was talking with her colleague and cut two of my fingers in the cuticle area. One cut was so bad it did not stop bleeding after she applied medicine and applied pressure. Her attempts to stop the bleeding were not working fast enough therefore I had to leave with only clear nail polish before my break ended. They did not offer to give the “manicure” for free due to them cutting my finger which was also disappointing customer service. Although she repeatedly said “I’m sorry” It is not okay to cut my cuticles so poorly and now I have to heal an unsightly swollen cut. Manicurists should be more mindful when distracted by conversation and using sharp tools near...

I just now decided to start using my local nail salon the first time it was cool this time I realized they fold under pressure and over charge you I came in for a refill & polish change. He charged me the original price of a full set $40 & 25 for a polish change which the price list sat 20 for a gel polish change. My bill should have been 48 … 3 dollars for the cut down. I mention it & he says okay 50 and still charged me 60 so hungry for money service was awful.
