rising sun spa — Local services in Philadelphia

I dont know if theyre racist dont like muslims or something else but this was the most disrespected i have ever felt in an establishment. They have a flashing light sign saying theyre open so i go in. When i get upstairs there's two women and they crack the door. So the one girl walks me in and as she passes the other girl gives me a dirty look so i said "what happen, yal dont like me already" the other lady says "yes" lol (only thing said in clear English" but im assuming shea on the phone or got confused. So she walks me into a freezing cold room and quickly dusts the bed as some old paper towel falls off the bed. She then tells me take off your clothes and lie down and she leaves and closes the door.. Never asks what massage i want or anything like that. So now i go to take my clothes off but its freezing so with my skirt and bra i go out and say can u turn the ac down she says ok turns it off and leaves i go to finish taking off my clothes and get the little sheet when she knocks on the door so im like yes she knocks again then she comes in and says oh "sorry we cant do it, we're closed..." so im like??? Shes like oh no, were closed come back another time. So im like so why did u tell me take my clothes off?? Shes like oh we're closed im like OK so why did u tell me take my clothes off and she starts acting like she suddenly doesnt know English. So then i got louder and she call someone else . Whole time im getting back dressed and she starts blocking the door where i gotta leave. I told her get out my way and a few other choice words and i left. Really dont know what that was about but gave Philly a bad name for...

Very bad experience. First off the door was locked and the bell didn’t work. I had to call to tell them I was out front and then still waited almost 5 minutes to get in. Lights were on and bright the whole time, my door was wide open. My masseuse and the other lady were yelling back and forth to each other. I kept telling her to go lighter or softer and she would just go harder. My back is burning because she pretty much stayed in one spot the whole time with barely any oil. I wanted to stop but decided to fight my way to the end. My back is beat red and burns. I honestly didn’t want to tip but I felt obligated when she came running up with her hands out. The place across the street is so much better. In fact I may just stop in there now so they can relieve the tension that this place...

Wow! This is one of the best massages I’ve received in the city. And not a bad price - 90min for $90. No frills, but also no bull. I asked for hard pressure and Eva did not miss. She used her hands, forearms, knees, feet - the works. I’m not sure what type of massage that qualifies as but as someone who wants a masseuse to basically maim me, I was all in. The scalp massage at the end was heavenly. I’ll be back soon to try their head spa and foot...
