I am writing to file a formal complaint against Food Bazaar located at 581 Stelton Rd, Piscataway, New Jersey, regarding a distressing experience I encountered on August 2nd, 2025, at approximately 7:45 PM.
That evening, my husband and I stopped directly in front of the store entrance when my 1-year-old daughter suddenly began to vomit profusely in the back seat. I was visibly distressed and focused on helping my sick child when a Spanish-speaking security guard approached me and asked that I move the vehicle. I calmly explained that my daughter was ill and asked for a few minutes to tend to her.
To my surprise, the guard returned less than a minute later, once again insisting that I move the vehicle—despite clearly witnessing a medical emergency involving a toddler. At that time, the parking lot was only about 10% occupied, with no vehicles nearby.
This conduct was not only insensitive but also inhumane. As a mother, I felt helpless, disrespected, and unfairly targeted during an already stressful and urgent situation. Following this interaction, I attempted to enter the store and found it closed—even though the posted hours stated the store closes at 10:30 PM, and it was only 7:45 PM.
No individual—especially a parent caring for a sick child—should be treated with such disregard and lack of compassion. I am deeply disappointed by this experience and urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and hold Food Bazaar accountable for both the staff’s conduct and the misleading store hours.

Current signs are small and hard to read, making it difficult to locate items. Professionalism: Overall customer service feels lacking; staff didn't appear attentive or approachable, which detracts from the shopping experience. Dress Code: Uniforms and presentation appeared informal, contributing to an unprofessional atmosphere. The security guard’s professionalism was a high point, but his presence felt unnecessary given the generally safe neighborhood. My experience left me missing the consistency and reliability of Stop and Shop.
