Clearly arranged "superstore" in comparison with regional stores but lacking fresh produce, bakery, fresh meat and seafood departments. Given the abundant square footage, there must be well planned reasons for the omission, and it certainly does not detract from visiting the store since it compensates wonderfully by offering Turkish daily use products. Finally, I found an automated Turkish Coffee Maker. I wish there was one in the store where I could "try-and-buy" rather than mess up the first-time experiment at home. The range of cezve/ibrik was underwhelming. Why not offer us "ignorant" people (who have never visited Turkey) similar products from Kastamonu? Also, two observations on the topic of coffee. Noticed some flavored brands that could be perceived as eclectic being mixed with "spices" from other regions - obvious cardamom and then saffron and pistachio. Why do all Nuri Toplar coffee cans have 06/09/2024 as the manufacturing date - Amazon vendors and two local retailers have this marking for the last 10 months on their shelves! I am accustomed to seeing large bags of flour and rice, but never before have I seen such large bags of diverse Bulgur - very nice. A dedicated aisle for sweet tooth lovers, of course, with very reasonable (viz. wholesale as advertised) prices. All the well known Turkish brands (for frozen meat and cured by-products) have many of their products on sale here. Two classic Bosporus seafood were present in the frozen section - small mackerel and bonito fillets. In short, a very good experience, and it will definitely take me months to try out just a few of the specialties here -- so much on offer, so little time.

I’m honestly so glad I found this place. Altin Grocery is super clean, really well-organized, and just feels nice to shop in. Everything is easy to find, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the layout. What surprised me the most was the variety—they have so many Turkish and Mediterranean products that I haven’t even seen in some stores back in Turkey. Fresh yufka, Turkish coffee, spices, cheeses, olives—you name it. It’s like a little taste of home. And the prices? Way better than I expected. It almost feels like the Costco of ethnic groceries—great quality but very affordable, and no need to buy in bulk. The butcher section isn’t open yet, but even without it, this place already stands out. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Turkish food or just want to try something

Altin Grocery is hands down one of the cleanest and most organized stores in the DFW area. Every item is clearly priced and easy to find—no guessing or asking the cashier, which makes the whole shopping experience so smooth. Their selection of grocery and kitchen items is top-notch, and the food section is always fresh and authentic. One of the biggest highlights is their frozen section—it’s honestly the largest I’ve seen in the DFW area, fully stocked with a wide variety of quality options. Whether you’re meal prepping or cooking for the family, they’ve got you covered. And let’s not forget the location—super convenient, right off Highway 75 in Plano. Highly recommend checking them out!

Absolutely loved my visit to Altin Grocery in Plano, TX — truly a hidden gem and a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Turkish products in the U.S. It’s not just the biggest Turkish supermarket in the country, it’s also one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The selection was incredible — from some fresh produce, bakery items, and meat products to an amazing variety of Turkish snacks, spices, dairy, and household goods. Every aisle was filled with high-quality products that transported me straight to a market in Istanbul.

What made the experience even better was the friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and eager to assist. It felt like more than just a store — it felt like a little slice of Turkish hospitality right in the heart of Texas.

And the prices? Very fair — especially considering the quality and the variety offered. Whether you’re Turkish, Middle Eastern, or simply curious about Mediterranean cuisine, Altin Grocery is a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

A Hidden Gem!

If you live in Plano and are looking for authentic Turkish products, Altin Grocery is definitely a hidden gem you need to discover! From the outside, it may look like a simple market, but once you step inside, it feels like you’ve been transported to the heart of Turkey.

From a wide variety of cheeses and fresh olives to sucuk and tahini halva, everything is authentic and high quality. My personal favorite is their freshly delivered baklava and the perfectly crunchy nuts. They also have a Turkish coffee corner, and just seeing those nostalgic packages warms your heart.

The staff are extremely friendly and always ready to help with whatever you’re looking for. And it’s not just a grocery store — you can find everything from cleaning supplies to kitchenware, covering all your home needs.

Having such a thoughtfully curated place dedicated to Turkish culture right here in Plano is a real treasure. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth visiting just to soak in...
