I thought this Pleasant Prairie store was a nice and “good” Target intially when walking in but boy was I wrong!!. My pregnant wife (9mos pregnant) and I drove from 45min away to purchase a Delta Landry rocking chair that she had been wanting for our nursery, that apparently they had in stock. We get there and decided to return several items that were gifted to us from our registry to use those funds for the chair, and so we go over to guest services. They tell us they can process the returns and put it on a merchandise card and then pick out the chair we want and use the money towards that. So we go and see the Delta Landry rocking chair and my wife falls in love with it. She sits in it and doesnt want to leave it!! And everyone knows that a pregnant wife is ALWAYS right. So we grab the chair info and take it over to guest services, the place where their sole purpose is to make SURE a customers needs are met and where you go above and beyond to make the sale while making the customer Happy, so we get there and are attended by an older employee with a name tag by the name of “Stevo”. We show him the chair info and he proceeds to tell us “NO we dont have that.” I said said sure you do we just sat in it. He says “NO we dont have any in stock”. I said well can we order it and pick it up another day or have it shipped to our house?...he says “NO we got rid of it in our system so you cant get it here anymore.”...I ask well then what about another store? He says “NO no other stores have it in our area. So you have to order it online.” ...I then say ok well thats a let down because this tag says you have it in store AND you have a display model. He says “NO we dont.” ...So I ask well then can I buy the display model since its the last one. He says “NO i cant sell it”...I ask what he is going to do with it then if he cant sell it, he says “we’re going to throw it out.”....(that makes no sense at all that you would deny a sale and not capitalize on the opportunity for the store to turn a profit on something they plan on throwing out. Poor retail sales knowledge there.) ....So I then say I guess my only option then is to go online and use this merchandise card towards the chair that costs $30 more than in the store. To that he says “NO you cant use that card online, online here in the store”. I told him i didnt want anything else from the store and that we only drove all this way for the rocking chair. He says “NO well its only good here in store.” ...I say well then what good is this then? I should have just kept the gifts and this should have been explained since the beginning. So now not only did we drive ALLL this way for nothing, but now we returned a bunch of gifts and are stuck with a card that we cannot use on an item that we cannot leave with or even purchase in store and now would have to pay $30 more for....but to top it all off, i find it VERY ironic and frustrating that the one dept that is supposed RESOLVE issues and help get people to a YES experience from Target, actually said NO the entire time. Not once did this “Stevo” say YES to us or even try to help resolve this whole situation. Beware people!!!! Do not waste your gas, your time, or your money at...
Read moreThe security person that handles the front of the store needs customer service training. Today is the second time he has insulted me this holiday season. I have trouble with balance and walking and i use the scooters to do my shopping and have on numerous occasions...and staff from the store have told me to take the scooter to my car. As i was leaving the store an alarm went off....i stopped thinking a tag wasnt removed from an item i paid for. No ...this security person said its your cart. I didnt know what about the cart. He was rude...crude and way out of line....I had a full cart. He didnt offer to help me...didnt offer to find an empty cart....just hollered that i could not take scooter out of store. Then when he realized that custormers were backing up trying to leave he hollered that i should just go.....today as i was leaving...again he was there....i stopped and was switching my bags from scooter to push cart....he saw me....never offered to help....but waited until i was off the cart and hollered your not just going to leave that cart there are you. There is no posted scooter cart area. The area where scooters are parked are far from the exit doors and no carts are available to make the switch. If your store doesnt want to help people at least make it easier for those of us that need some help. This guard uses a cane.... and quite well which is a blessing for him....sometimes others are...
Read moreI was REALLY REALLY frustrated with your staff when I went to pick up my order. I had did a drive-up order and then decided I needed to pick up in the store as I had a couple of coupons I wanted to apply to my order. When I arrived, I was told that they couldn't apply them to my order. I would have to cancel my current order and then repurchase them in the store. I didn't want to do that, as I had used my birthday reward, Target circle coupon and a Target giftrcard with the order. They called a superviser, Kim, you told me that I could not use the coupons because they did not accept printed manufacturing coupons. I then said I had the coupon on my phone and she then said they do not accept those either and proceed to walk away from me as if she didn't care at all that I was upset. Needless to say, that I am not wanting to return to Target to shop for my future needs. I did get a phone number to call. The person I spoke was apologized how I treated and did offer me a $5.00 gift card as an apology and gave me another number to call to ask about the coupon policy as if you do not accept manufacturing coupons, I will have to...
