I always had a great experience at this store until today. I think there is a new manager and she doesn’t seem to know what she is doing. She ripped me off. I ordered items online and accidentally paid through paypal using my debit card. I meant to use my paypal credit card. The money was taken directly from my checking account. When I realized what I had done, I contacted customer service online and they reordered the items for me using the correct payment method and told me I could return the original order. I went to return the original purchase to get my money put back onto my debit card and the manager at the time told me that she would give me a merchandise card and wouldn’t give me my money back. When I told her I was confused by this she said she would honor it to me this one time... then she gave me less back. I paid $38.49 for the item and she gave me $34.54 back. I just contacted customer service online to help me return the other two items on that order at another store location since she was unwilling to help me get the full amount of money back that was taken from my checking with the one item (I left the other two items at home in Milwaukee on accident and need to return those still). PLUS I feel like I’m going to have to print up a bank statement to prove that she screwed me over since I have no receipt from her of the money given back to me. I’m very upset that someone would steal from me like this and give me a hard time about it to top it off! 😠 NOT a good manager...
Read moreI visited on may 27th to spend my birthday money. I was greeted when I walked into the store like I always am. I started picking out clothes to try on. No one offered any help. I asked an employee if I could go try them on. She replied with "sure just go ahead" normally they walk you to the changing room write your name on the door then check on you after a while and offer different sizes or whatever. This did not happen during this visit. I ended up leaving the dressing room myself to get different sizes. I was very disappointed 😞 I ended up buying jeans that I have to return. Now if I was offered help this wouldn't have happened. I reached out to the store via the website asking to be contacted and it never happened. I can't believe this is going this way. I've been shopping at maurices for years this is the first location that I left unhappy. So for this I'm leaving one star. I wish I could leave no stars. I could have gotten over this one bad experience had someone reached out to me, but they never did. My first trip to this store was perfect, but it seems as if the employees that used to be there are gone now. As I read the other reviews they all share my love of this store. They helped with finding me jeans, gave styling advice, & found the perfect matching earrings (to name a few). My daughter was having a diabetic low and had to sit for a while which made us run late for getting out of the store by closing time but the girls were understanding and didn’t rush us and ended up staying late so that we could finish our shopping spree!
