Great choice in Kenosha area!

I am new to the area so I haven’t had a chance to try the local Asian food options, but on Lunar New Year I was desperate for some Asian cuisine to get into the spirit, so gave this place a try!

I ordered a lunch special for carry out (no dine-in due to Covid right now anyway). Their online menu was well done and lunch specials easy to find, which I appreciated. And I did order by calling before I left my house, which was easy and painless.

Upon arrival, the restaurant is clean and they have set it up well for Covid precautions.

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special with an egg roll. For less than $8, I got a great amount of food. It was piping hot and had a ton of fresh veggies and lots of chicken. I was really impressed with the quality of the food I received here. It was all very mild, which is OK with me. I added hot mustard which is my preferred spice for Asian food, but, if you like things spicy, you can request that when ordering. The egg roll was deliciously crispy and very good!!

Overall, the meal tasted great and will definitely try their other options in the future.

I would NEVER go to Asian Taste again. I have been going there for years yet tonight they sent two dishes home with raw chicken (not to mention they got the order wrong as well). We went back and the chef/manager came out and actually argued that the chicken was supposed to be that way. After about 10 minutes he went back to remake the food. When we got home the food was the exact same food and not cooked anymore than before (the same piece of chicken was cut into and was still raw). The chef/manager had not done anything with the food when he went back into the kitchen, yet still sent it home with us a second time. I called the Asian Taste and the chef/manager had the nerve to yell at me on the phone and then hung up on me after telling me he did not care if he lost me, my friends, or family as customers. I am passing this on because 1) I don't want people to get sick 2) That is the worst customer service I think I have ever received and 3) If he doesn't care if he loses customers because he treats them poorly and screams at them then I feel I should let people know what they are...

A friend wanted to meet for lunch and picked Asian Taste, after reading the reviews I saw that most of the negative reviews were about the service and attitude of the workers. I understand that culturally they do have a difference in communicating with customers and thought we would give it a try. I can get by that but I cannot get past bad food. The food was awful, the worst Chinese or Asian food I’ve ever had and we eat Chinese all the time all over the country. I had Steamed Dumplings that were very doughy with thick wrappers that were way too thick and the pork inside was more like a bbq pork Shumai. I also had Egg Drop soup which was very bland. My wife had Hunan Chicken that was not very good, she had the lunch special that was very small and she still didn’t finish it.
