I’m really struggling with giving 3 stars as when I do get service here is is bar none some of the most fantastic customer experience I have ever seen.

First the bad and the reason for 3 stars - as other reviews have pointed out if you are in a t-shirt your service will be terrible. Twice now I’ve come in with several hundreds of dollars to spend but had no dress clothes on. Both times I’ve left empty handed because it was next to impossible to get someone’s attention, and when I do I’ve been brought to the clearance section with a “here’s your size let me know if you have questions”. The first time I just thought it was an off day but I think today confirmed the reality - you need to look like you belong to get good service.

Now that said when I have shown up in my Hammermade and a Rolex it’s almost a red carpet experience. They walk you through different fits and colors that they believe will look good (they absolutely did and have held up amazingly), they were able to meet my deadline for tailoring, didn’t upsell and let me know the $50 cheaper shirt looked better on me, and overall made it an unforgettable experience.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 8, 2023, I stopped by Foursome to purchase some new dress pants and possibly some shirts. As I looked around, I recognized that I was only one of three or four customers in the store. However, there seemed to be an abundance of sales personnel who were more than capable of helping me.

Unfortunately, not a single sales person bothered to recognize my presence in the store. No one said “Hi” to me. No one came by to ask if I wanted any assistance. No one offered to show me around. Therefore, I chose to leave and take my business elsewhere.

As I thought about my experience it made me wonder if I was being discriminated based upon my dress of the day. I dress up for work every day of the week and like to dress in very casual clothing on Saturday and Sunday. So, did no one help me because of an unconscious bias – sales people thinking I am not dripping with money and had no intention of buying anything? When in reality, I had planned to purchase a number of things.

I am giving 2 stars for the rental suits, I took 3 stars off for bad service. My husband & I met with Kathy, who handled our service and organized suit rental for our crew. Our groom sizing went well, and she had good eye for detail around him needing a longer vest and which tie’s worked well together. When we went to get our groomsmen and brothers sized, they were not impressed with the service received. Week of the wedding: We receive the suits early, but three of six were sized incorrectly- the groom, best man, and father of bride. They were fast to re-order sizing, with the last arriving the day of the wedding. The location stressed the importance of being sized by a location that carries Jim’s formal wear, yet was not willing to take ownership for having to re-do sizing. We came here based on a referral. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this shop for suit rentals. I had two individuals say the treatment was careless. Ultimately, the suits ended up looking great.
