I came into Kassab because I had an unfortunate and stressful situation with my wedding ring where I was having to do an insurance claim to replace it and I wasn't having a good experience in dealing with the replacement/remake with the previous jeweler that initially made my wedding rings. Immediately when I went into Kassab I was greeted by Robert and made to feel right at home. He was so knowledgeable, extremely helpful and really took the time to show me everything I wanted to see and even other things he thought I may like. I felt like he really cared and wanted to really help in trying to turn my experience around and show me that I could have a great experience with them. After leaving the store and my time with Robert I decided that Kassab Jewelers was who I wanted to work with.

From there Robert put me in touch with Penny because she is the one that handles the insurance claims. I went in and met with her and just like Robert, she was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and like she really truly cared about me. She was so empathetic to my situation and really made sure to explain everything in detail on how the process would work and what to expect. She told me she would fight for me and do the best she absolutely could in dealing with my claim. Throughout the whole process she was in communication with me, constantly giving me updates and working tirelessly to get me everything she could. Once we got the claim quote submitted to the insurance company, then came the fun part of redesigning a whole new ring as mine had been a total loss.

Penny brought me in multiple loose diamond options to choose from varying in size, color, clarity, natural diamonds, lab diamonds, etc. She completely educated me on everything as we went, always making sure I fully understood everything. I feel like I learned so much about diamonds and really understood what I was buying, which was not even close to the case with my previous jeweler, they showed me 1 diamond and no other options were ever offered, where as Penny had multiple diamonds shipped in so I could see them in person, learn about each one and make the best decision for me. She was truly a blessing to work with and went above and beyond for me, she is a huge asset to Kassab, as is Robert and I am so thankful to have met them and to have gotten the chance to work with them. They made this stressful situation easy and fun and Penny delivered on her promise to do her best and fight for me, to get me the best she could, and boy did she deliver. I ended up getting a Tacori RoyalT Ring, which I could have only imagined in a dream, it's stunning and they were even able to have Tacori rush it so I could get it in time for a trip I was taking. I am forever grateful to these 2 people for all their help and hard work in this long process! Thanks to them I will be a lifelong...

Amazing experience does not do the experience I had with Penny Kelly of Kassab Jewelers justice. Was shopping for a surprise engagement ring for my girlfriend. I live in NYC, and there was a specific Barkev engagement ring that I had my eye on that I knew my girl would love. After much searching, the only place I seemed to find the ring was: Kassab Jewelers in Portland, OR. I was worried how I could make this work since it was a surprise engagement and, like i said, I live in NYC. So I called Kassab Jewelers and spoke with Penny Kelly. First of all, you can tell right away that she absolutely loves what she does and it's not all about the dollars and cents with her. She got me the absolute best deal on the ring. But more than a sales rep, I wanted to propose soon but all my credit cards were maxed out...so guess what? Penny was able to act as a liaison to a major credit card company and I was able to secure a credit card because of her (with 0% interest for 13 months if I may add). And with the additional credit, I was able to pay for the ring in full, thus speeding up when I would receive it. Penny knew it was a surprise engagement so she made sure to only contact me via email and when it came time to send the ring, she made sure to sent it when she knew I would be home to grab it the morning mail to keep everything a surprise. Everything worked like a charm. Finally the perfect moment came when I was at the beach with my girl, the sun was setting, no one was around...we had the whole beach to ourselves and that's when I got down on my knee, the tide splashing up against me and took out the ring.

I am adamant about this amazing bespoke boutique....Kassab Jewelers is the best and only place to find the quality, cut and service you deserve. They take pride and passion in making you happy - and their impeccable taste is critical when you need an advisor...after all, you need to get this right or you may regret it forever.

I tried twelve other jewelers prior, only to find few carried a decent inventory; no one wanted to lift a finger to find or provide options; few had CAD design capability, wax modeling, or both; hardly anyone could offer decent options for affordable custom transition between stone and setting. Basically everyone tried selling me something I didn't ask for or want, and let me walk out the door like it was no loss to them.

Kassab, however, listened....they ordered 12 stones to my specifications with GIA certifications and within budget - next day air, for free...We carefully selected the best stone - together - and two immensely charming & sophisticated women then spent the rest of the day with me finding the right setting...a beautiful Mae Vona Scottish heritage custom design from New York. I was stunned. They thoroughly enjoyed making my life and this moment wonderful...I am eternally grateful.

I learned national profit driven franchises weren't really offering true cost-effective quality. And few privately owned jewelers had enough scale to handle custom orders or custom design...nor have most modernized, meaning they remain low tech and purposively obfuscate transparency in buying diamonds on the open market.
