Savannah Nails — Local services in Portland

We were visiting from out of state and my 10 year old daughter needed her nails done for a wedding. After searching for places this was one of the only places open super early. We visited between 8-9am which worked for our schedule. A plus!! They had 4 customers getting pedicures done when we walked in. The signage for a mani/pedi was $30 very reasonable! Another plus! Did not see a kids menu, most places normally do. She choose to have shellac done only for her manicure knowing it would be an additional charge. After getting her settled 4 more customers walked in after us. They turned 1 away and sat the other 3. Wow we're they busy!! I felt at ease in knowing this was a great establishment. Mani pedi looked awesome and my little human was happy! They were packed and busy and we wanted to get out of there to free up a seat. I was never given a receipt of services but handed her my CC knowing it would be a lil over $30. The female worker was on the phone when I was paying and I quickly asked as she was walking away with my CC how much she paused turned around and said $60 and quickly swiped my CC. Now I was shocked how could a 10 year olds mani/pedi be $60 ?? When she returned I asked how much was each service she smiled while still on the phone and handed me the pen and receipt. I do not think she spoke well English so I obliged signed the receipt and left feeling a bit taken advantage of. Since we were in a hurry to get to rehearsals we left me feeling confused and upset. It's a month and a half later and I still have a sense of bitter uneasiness. The place is cute and yes they were friendly but before paying ask how much...just wished I did before handing...

Went wth an appointment for a dip and pedicure. The pedicure was mediocre at best. He never cut my nails, and left a jagged edge that was there when I came and also when I left. Also missed the ingrown toe nails. He's a younger guy and not the owner. Their polishes are mediocre in color and quite old. Cuccio polish has been out of business for several years and they still have much of that and other off brands, all randomly displayed all over the board. I never got the dip because there was only one person who did dip and was booked and so I didn't want to wait 45 minutes to get a manicure, even though my time was supposed to be booked. I would say if time is not an issue and you want to just sit around, go there. They are cheaper than any of the other shops. I'd rather pay more for a more organized situation. I have gone there before and always say I'm looking for another place close by and end up there, but will go up to beaverton ...it's further, but so much cleaner and organized. I'm out in 1 hour 40 minutes for both. that's what it should take and does in other places, but not at Savannah. I was there for 65 minutes for a pedicure and waited 20 minutes for the pedicure and he wold be done in 30 minutes, and that's when I left! My time is valuable, and unfortunately, I don't have the leisure time to sit and wait for a scheduled appt for a manicure. I will gladly pay more...

My Experience was very Trumatic they were rough they lost my turtle they messed him up my turtle was my mom’s memorial type thing that I got put on my nails for Family peace when we spread in my mom‘s ashes out of the ocean and that was just supposed to be my buddy they lost him they found him but he was all broken and I cried then my nails are uneven the nail polish is coming off not even 48 hours it was just very very very bad yes I know I’m a diva and yes I get my nails done at a different place and I do understand that they do not do the exact same but if I told her just to leave them and natural and she nobody listened then I don’t know what else to say like I was crying in the shop because my nails are just very horrific and I stood outside for like almost 20 minutes crying because my nails look like they were pregnant and pregnant people are beautiful but my nails are ugly I have all different colors on my nails and my nails are supposed to be black I have white you can see white on them you can also see red and you can see my real nails because the nail polish is not all the way on them this is terrible it’s a very nice place but if you want just basic then that’s where...
