Incredible. Incredible! I have been disabled for about 5-6 years now. I'd been to dozens of doctors and 3 physical therapists for my lower back pain. Meeting with Chie at Yuzu (by proxy of Hey Doc!) was, as PT is for many, a last ditch effort. I came in with very little hope but as early as the first appointment, Chie identified what she thought my issue might be (it was news to me!) and we took off from there. I've been improving in RECORD timing.
Today I "graduated" from my program with Chie. I can't believe it! I'm feeling the strongest I have in years. Every other PT I've had, I had to stop seeing because my insurance-covered sessions ran out. I didn't even need to hit that number here with Chie.
Chie is very collaborative, warm, open, hilarious, and truly non-judgemental. She met me where I was at in ability, didn't ask questions about my insecurities, and truly tailored my routines to what I was comfortable with. Nothing was ever a "I can't do this." it always became a "if it's difficult, let's try it this way."
Cherry on top for me is that the facility she is currently practicing in still requires masks! I am an immunocompromised person and this is what made Chie accessible for me.
I don't just highly recommend Chie, I highly encourage you to try working with Chie....
Read moreI am SO grateful to have found Chie! As someone with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), I know how difficult it can be to find a physical therapist who truly understands complex or hypermobile bodies - let alone one who can actually reduce pain.
Before working with Chie, everyday activities like walking, stairs, and even low impact exercises like rowing were painful. A previous doctor had dismissed my issues as plantar fasciitis, but those treatments didn’t help. Chie quickly pinpointed the real problem and designed exercises that immediately made a difference.
Thanks to her expertise, I’m now completely pain-free. I recently attended a music festival where I walked 10+ miles a day for multiple days - without any pain! Chie’s approach is efficient, transparent, and always adaptive. When one of my exercises wasn’t working, she adjusted the approach, and I saw results fast.
She’s one of the few PTs who truly understands how to navigate complex bodies and consistently reduce pain.

Read moreI saw Dr. Chia following a motor vehicle accident that happened in October. I had already been seeing her for hypermobility and was making progress, but the accident set me back. Dr. Chia provided excellent exercises and carefully measured my neck and back mobility each visit to track my progress. She is very friendly and takes the time to demonstrate and go through the exercises with me to ensure I’m doing them correctly. The clinic has a welcoming environment with a friendly staff. Thanks to Dr. Chia, I’m now able to function again and enjoy activities like dancing, hiking, and biking as I did before the accident. I highly...
