Though it is against my normal dietary plan, I've heard a lot about the infamous vegan Portland corn dogs, and I had to have one! Also, I was surprised by the number of vegan options available! This place is great for bar food, that comes in a small portion, pretty greasy, but overall tastes good. If you're looking for a meal, you would have to order several items off of the menu in order to be satisfied, I think. You order at the bar and then take a number and your food is served to you. The bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and picking sauces of which there are many. If you order fries you don't automatically have ketchup at your table, but it is readily available along with spicy mustard. If you're in the mood for something relatively and healthy they do have a kale salad. Though, I cannot comment on the kale salad. The fries were hot and fresh and the perfect texture. The corn dog tastes just like the corn dogs from childhood, which was surprising, considered that as a kid I ate the kind that had meat! I think this place is definitely worth a try and if you consume alcohol, definitely worth a visit. The decor is interesting and engaging, there are pool tables and gaming machines there. It's good for a Meetup, so long as it's not a professional one! There are intimate tables for you to gather with friends and hang out in a dimly lit friendly place.

If you're a individual whom takes review seriously as you should, to avoid an unpleasant experience I had to rewrite my review to place an emphasis about Hungry Tiger. Acknowledging their strengths, I must express that the establishment falls severely short in professionalism, particularly in the realm of hospitality—it tends to convey a more hostile atmosphere rather than a welcoming one. The subpar customer service significantly detracts from the overall ambiance, resulting in an unsatisfactory experience. There are undoubtedly better dining options available elsewhere, or one may choose to prepare meals at home. Personally, I have been affected by the discriminatory treatment I encountered. This experience has led me to always check reviews before patronizing a place. It's disheartening to note that this business has consistently provided similar treatment to multiple individuals of different ages and backgrounds, as reflected in their reviews. It's disappointing that little effort has been made to improve and that empathy seems to be lacking, instead of making strides towards a more inclusive environment. In my humble opinion, the management of this business should take personal responsibility for these issues, as they have mistreated others in a manner similar to my own experience. -ex loyal customer.

Stopped into hungry tiger on Christmas Day after hiking and grabbing a bite to eat. It was happy hour from 3 to 7, apparently it is every single day, and we each got a few very enjoyable and inexpensive cocktails and played pinball. The atmosphere is very cozy and there are a lot of pinball machines which were super fun for a rainy afternoon and my partner and I played for about an hour total. We briefly looked at the food menu, although we were still full for lunch, but mostly everything was vegan, and if we hadn’t eaten not even an hour before arriving, we definitely would’ve tried some of the food because it looked amazing. Basically everything is vegan, and that included like a chicken basket or something like that so yeah, very impressed with this place and would absolutely come back. Thanks so much, Hungry Tiger!

update: was the owner response an apology? if so, that's the first I have received. thanks for believing me.

I wanted to reach out and explain a situation that occurred on 2/3/2023 directly with the bar owners; they have not replied to my multiple attempts to reach out them. So I'm posting this review, as I'm still pretty skeezed out. I'm not a regular at this bar, but I've lived in the neighborhood and have dropped in a few times over the last 12 years. I'd met a friend for a few beers yesterday afternoon, specifically the Buoy red ale. About halfway through my 3rd glass, I noticed a thumbnail sized object stuck in the bottom of my pint glass; poured out the remaining beer, and examined the object with my phone's flashlight. This object very much resembled a bloody scab, and after conferring with my friend, we were concerned and took it inside to show the bartender. The bartender's reaction is why I'm writing this. A gentleman identified himself as Mike, promptly dismissed this object as "part of the beer", accused me of drinking the whole pint and faking the issue, and then called me a liar loud enough for the room to hear. I maintained a calm tone, requested he speak with me at the end of the bar out of everyone's way, and that my purchases be refunded; sharing that I was sure that the object was not a "part of the beer" and was a problem. Mike continued to dismiss my concerns. and refunded my check, and restated that I was faking this, and was lying. I left your bar without causing any type of scene, but I really wanted to reach out to let folks know what occurred. I have no interest in cheating a small business out of a $15 bar tab, and to be accused of that was pretty insulting. This of course doesn't matter, but they might care to know how your staff reacts when an issue like this occurs. I'd recommend avoiding...
