Awful experience. The landlord, Penny Lane, did not provide good service to her tenants. She was rude, and unwillingly to work with my roommate and myself. We approached her months before our lease was up that we were planning of not staying beyond the end of our lease. We discussed prices and if there were ANYTHING we had to do in order to start the process of us to move out. She did not say we had to do anything, other than turn on our keys and do cleaning checklist. She mentioned nothing about a notice, let alone a sixty day written notice. Come one month before our move out date, we go in again, just to double check. It was then when Penny Lane clued us in that we had to have a sixty day written notice in order to move out. We believe the policy to be absolutely ridiculous, and asked why we weren't informed of this months prior when were asking about it then. She did not give us a reply.
Both my roommate and I had to pay an extra months on place we were not living in.
Also, to mention of the two years my roommate and myself were there, we kept our apartment clean, we were never noisy, and super respectful of other tenants. Our rent was always on time. Let's go to January of 2015 this year when temperatures were frigid, my heater went out. I went to the main office and told Penny Lane that my heater had gone out. She said she would send someone from maintenance Two days go by, no maintenance has stopped by, so I drop by after school and before work to let her know again that my heater is not working, it is freezing, and I have work soon. I give permission for them to enter the apartment to fix it. I come back from my job later that night, it is still not fixed, so first thing Saturday morning I go for a third time to let them know that my heater is still not fixed and my electric heater is going to run up my electric bill, Penny lane said she would get someone over as soon as possible.
My heater was never fixed.
Penny Lane is vindictive and DOES NOT care about her tenants whatsoever. She will lie and make empty promises. When you approach her about a question she will attempt to belittle you and treat you like an inconvenience. The up their fees without letting you know, the constantly change their policies and WILL NOT let you, the paying tenant know, they are doing this. It's expensive, and not worth it. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would Iāve lived in this place for 2 1/2 years when we first went in they didnāt have the apartment ready so they hurried and put us in a different one that wasnāt clean and the carpet was torn up and soaked with dog Pee we didnāt have another choice because I didnāt have another place to live and I thought we were getting the place that we had previously rented my daughter stayed in the clubhouse after we signed the contract and the manager called the owner and told the owner how trashy we were as people. My son was out climbing a tree a couple months ago and the manager came and told him to get down he was eating a candy bar and threw it down so he could climb down the tree and then picked it up and she fined me $50 saying that he left mounds of garbage all over. Another resident complained because something fell off our balcony and said that we were attacking them I got the police report and we were doing nothing of a kind but they decided to not renew our lease and any other apartments that called for reference they told them that we were harassing the neighbors. I went in today to give them the keys and they said I wasnāt getting my deposit because of the computer it said 500 I showed them the original lease which I paid $1300 for a deposit and she said I needed to call corner stone property management and I asked for the number and she said she didnāt have it and if I wanted to talk to them that I had to find the number. I finally realized it was corner stone residential and thereās no way to get a holdOf them you just have to leave a message and hope they call you back. Not to mention they have had a murder which I was one of the first on the scene in the parking lot where a lady was shot to death theyāve had multiple suicides and they had a SWAT standoff with someone in the building who was doing a bunch of drugs and had weapons. This is hands-down the worst place ever. They lost my original lease and my move-in sheet about the carpetās and they lost my emotional support animal letter and tried to evict my emotional support animal so I gave it to them again and then they lost the letter again and considering they have a new manager every two months...

Britney sounds like a good manager and was very apologetic and i was impressed, was never expecting that kinda thing from this company. This information is based on 2 years ago when i lived there and could have changed a lot since. The cost was way to high for what it was. The internet would have been better as dial up. The pool worked for an entire 23 days during the time there and we recived nothing for compensation even though our contract stated we would. While we were using the pool the former assistant manager had to come out to ask if our 9 year old niece was our guest. WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN THE POOL AT 1130 in the morning!!! We got noise complaint for walking across the floor wearing work boots and one for a weekend we weren't even in the state of utah. Animal control was called on us because the people's dog on the floor above us was howling at 530 am and it was just asumed it was ours. The land lord did nothing about the upstairs kids jumping off the bed at 1 in the morning. If it was one bump I can understand but it would be 20 times plus in a row and the mom would come in yelling. The parking lot was a ice rink and the side walks. Not much better. The assistant manager was constantly using the pool table every time it was open. Now what really makes. Me mad 2 years after living here I receive a debt collection on 10 dollars and 37 cents because supposedly the cleaning company had to do a "extra deoderizor" even though upon leaving we cleaned and scrubbed for 2 days as well as when we called to question about this charge we were told "everything that we replaced was routine" yet they took our entire deposite plus this stupid charge, never received a phone call or a letter for two years even though we have the same phone numbers and same address.
