I’ve visited this location numourous times. It always is busy, but the staff is polite, helpful, and works well under the stress of the lunch rush. The food is as good as it’s always been. 10,000% better than Taco Bell...probably better than Taco time as well. Just speaking from experience of working there and eating from all those places... I’m not a know it all and I understand opinions are different (heck, I love TB if I’m on a fast food gig) but Taco Del Mar is a bit different. I would chose them over taco time any day. Ask for a mondito burrito. (Cannot recall if this is still on the menu but if you ask for it most employees know what you mean)it’s the smaller burrito. Most of the people who work there aren’t used to making the smaller size burrito so you’re very likely to get nearly the mondo burrito size as you would if you just ordered it that way to begin with. And honestly. makes eye contact do ya really need the calories? The Mondito is big enough as it is if you’re extra hungry order a side of their warmed tortilla chips and a side of...
Read moreWhy in the world is this called a "Taco" establishment? First off, seems as though they are overpriced. For two burritos, one very sad looking excuse for a taco, nachos and a drink it came out to $30. This operation is bogus. They have different options for their burrito wrapping like Tomato, Flour, Guacamole - but no CORN - what true taco and Mexican food establishment does not have corn? The first time I had this food, I got sick and was in the bathroom for hours. A few years later I came to give it another chance - and yet it seems they traded my stomach problems for two rude women that are more concerned about digging into your pockets than how they are treating you. My food was tolerable, only eaten because I paid so much for it - you bet I'm going to eat it. The only good part about this was the mango salsa...
Read moreI don’t live in the area anymore, but I visit family here often. And have been back for over a month Bc my business currently closed due to Covid restrictions. I have been to other Taco Del Mar locations and none of them are as good or friendly at this location. I recently walked in and placed a large to go order for my “quarantine family” - a household of 6 - and the workers were very gracious. During a trying time when a lot of small businesses are closing, they have remained open for grab and go - but still manage to deliver kindness and a community feel. I tipped them big because I know it is stressful being in the service industry at this time. Pay it forward and help people out who are helping to provide you with food and other services at this time. Thanks for providing a small sense of normalcy...
