Tom is a scissors-wielding genius. He cut my hair for the first time yesterday and did an outstanding job. My wife agrees; she loves it. He is the first actual barber to cut my hair for a long time. I always associated barbers with the old “I’ll cut your hair any way you want it as long as you want one of these 3 ways” days of my youth. I’ve clearly been re-educated!

I let my hair grow out during the pandemic and several stylists at a couple of different salons tried to tame it, with unimpressive results. Tom took several minutes to talk with me about what I was looking for, was patient when I fumbled with my phone trying to show him the look I wanted, then he just nailed it. Thomas is one of the best barbers that I’ve ever had! He truly cares about the job he does and wants nothing more than to make sure that you as a customer are completely satisfied with your cut. You will NOT just be handed the mirror when he finishes and be told to take a look. He will carefully make sure that he goes over everything with you paying close attention to detail. Tom Rector is by far the best barber that I have ever used. I have lived in NYC, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and London to name a few and I have had some great barbers. However, I have never had a barber take their valuable time to craft a style that I am extremely happy with as well as make sure that the cut was perfect.
