Great American Cookies — Local services in Richmond Heights

I was at this business for the first time on 7/18/2020. The young lady at the register (I believe her name was Marly) was waiting on a customer in front of me and another worker I believe her name was Mandy came in and started pulling trays of cookies to put together a box or two of orders I believe. When I saw her take the tray of peanut butter cookies I asked the young lady at the register if I could just have one of them and I wanted a couple other cookies that she didn't take. Marly asked her and from the expression on her face it was an unpleasant "no". She didn't seem to care that she had a customer right there who wanted one of the cookies she was putting together. The fact that the cookies here are delicious is the only positive I can give. The service received was rude, unnecessary, and absolutely unwarranted. The manager was unhappy to have to make cookies, made a scene. Upon waiting patiently for our order, the newly prepared cookies were placed in the window and dispersed for sale to other customers. Asking about our order, the manager became upset to have to make another batch to fulfill our order. Once we finally had our order and sat to eat, I noticed the manager staring in our direction and point us out to an employee. This was completely out of character for management. If you need a cookie cake, ask for Brandon!!! He is SO incredibly talented. He made a Minecraft/Pokemon cake for my kiddo and it was beyond amazing. He seriously MADE my son's day.
