Charter Hall at the City Market Building — Local services in Roanoke

I LOVED exploring downtown Roanoke and photographing this winter wedding at Chart Hall! One of the hardest things for wedding photographers during receptions is making sure that we don’t miss anything. You never know when the bride and groom are about to have a sweet moment with grandma or if someone is busting a move on the dance floor. This reception space was all in one location so I could be present on the dance floor and still see what was happening in the rest of the venue.

Kaylee and her staff went above and beyond for my couple helping us direct traffic for their first look. This was not something they had to do but really helped us out tremendously! Kaylee also checked in with me throughout the day even though she was busy working! Her team even flipped the ceremony space into the reception set up while we did family photos at the arbor. They finished the set up before we were done with family formals (which were only 20 minutes!!). I can't recommend this venue enough and can't wait till we photograph another...

My husband and I had our wedding reception here last weekend and we were so pleased with how it turned out. Hannah Martin catered to all of our many requests with such a calming demeanor. We had a large wedding and could not find a venue that would comfortably fit everyone along with the other vendors and decor that come with weddings. Charter Hall ended up being the perfect size customized to our wants and needs with guests stating they did not feel crammed. We rented out the second floor for cocktail hour live music and the third for the main reception hall.
