Builders FirstSource — Local services in Rockport

After having terrible experience with both the Lowe's in Aransas Pass and the one in Corpus, we decided from now on when possible to buy locally in Rockport. We went to Pro-build on Jan 10th and placed an order for some wood and 15 sheets of sheet rock. We were told they wouldn't be able to deliver until Friday the 12th. However, turns out they were able to deliver one day ahead of schedule. This was a far cry better service than what we received from Lowe's who tried to deliver us wet and damaged sheet rock the week before. which we refused.

While at Pro-Build they were very courteous and when I went to pay for the order, the girl in the office brought me the ticket to sign because I am in a chair and unable to climb stairs. Great customer service.

The entire process was a nightmare. I called and ordered a 26x68 inch door and paid in advance. I was told those doors are something they keep in stock and had them coming within a week. I called twice to check on the status of my purchase and a ETA. The first time i called to check the lady was so confused and couldnt find my order, she then rememeber another girl was helping her one day and asked her. I placed my order with a lady who was helping out and really didnt know what she was doing. Instead of getting the door i asked for i got a 2 foot 6 inch x 6 feet 8 inch door, i asked for a 26 inch x 68 inch door. The company i work for will cease all business with this establishment immediately and i will be sure to tell everybody i know about the nightmare i had...

As a truck driver it is seldom to find places like this to deliver! Got kind of a goofy load so i called in the morning to verify the unloading hours, the lady on the phone sounded very chipper which was a welcome change from the usual "couldnt carr less attitude " that most consignees have. I hit a traffic jam along the way and pulled up at 10 past 1600 on a friday, not knowing if they would unload me; 19 min later i was empty with my tarps rolled up, one of the forklift guys jumped in to help with my tarps without me even asking. Everyone had a very positive attitude despite my arriving late. Just amazing place to unload! Ill definitely be trying to get...
