One star for the service interaction, four stars for the clothing and shoe selection. My partner and I stopped here on NYE while waiting for some glasses at the LensCrafters down the strip to finish. A lady greeted us and started out nice enough, but immediately turned the conversation that she doesn't think there's anything here for me (fitting wise). Now, I'm a tall fluffy boy (6'3" and 250ish) while my partner is fit and skinny, and I clarified we were browsing for me. She continued to say there's nothing here for me and walked away.
Needless to say, I was irritated about her interaction with me already at this point, but we continued to browse to get ideas for styles and looks that could look good on me. Then we found the shoe dept which I felt was a jackpot. I wear size 15 shoes (but can make a 14 fit) and they had plenty of 14s and 15s at the back. Looked at some and made a mental note of what I could come back and try on/purchase with enough time. When rounding the other side of the store we saw the same lady so I told her excitedly that they have shoes in my size! She rolled her eyes, turned around and walked away.
That did it, if you want to treat potential customers this way, then you won't get our money. We will continue to buy large shoes elsewhere, or even Amazon if we have to. But definitely not coming back...
Read moreI give 5 stars for the clothes, they sell themselves. My issue is with Ginger. She likes to make her own coupon rules. Today I'm purchasing $300 in clothing with the memorial day 30% off of $100 which is redeemable online and in store. She says it can only be redeemed once per customer. You realize people are capable of doing more than one transaction... she wouldn't have it. Then my husband grabbed half of my clothes and said he would buy them... we're 2 separate customers... she argued that the coupon will only work once. BS! I had just used the same coupon code online earlier that morning online. She's a controlling bully! Needless to say my hubby and I bought 3 transactions with the same account. If it were against the coupon rules, the register wouldn't have allowed the bar code that many times. Know the actual rules and don't let this witch bully you! I've used promotions more than once in other locations in other states. She quipped, "this is why we don't do coupons anymore!" Sorry sweetie, DXL floods our email boxes nearly every week with coupons and promotions. It's not YOUR company Ginger! She's a management level EMPLOYEE and based on Yelp reviews, you're pissing off other...
Read moreMy husband and I shopped at the Roseville DXL on Saturday, September 21. We've shopped here before and have always had a pleasant experience.
Hubs is a big dude -- 6'3", 295lb. DXL's clothes fit him quite well. We usually don't START at DXL though -- Men's Warehouse has, in the past, tended to be slightly less expensive so we usually start there. HOWEVER.
Going forward, we'll always be starting at DXL -- and will never be spending time or money in MWH again. (Check out my review for MWH for more context.)
Yesterday's visit to DXL was delightful. Both saleswomen were helpful, kind, and respectful. And, we happened to be there during a good sale period and ended up with a nice quality suit -- which looked much more sophisticated than the one we choose at MWH originally...and a handful of decent looking work shirts. Apparently, DXL will also be doing some custom tailoring/fitting in the near future and so we got to learn a little more about that, too. All in all, it was a great experience, we found exactly what we needed, and were impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the...
