Rosedale Center — Local services in Roseville

I gave 1 star, specifically for the woman working at guest services on Saturday evening. If you have a disability, or a need to RENT a scooter, beware. I had called before going to ensure the had a scooter. I was tired of using my walker, and thought I'd give my husband a break from using my wheelchair. You see, I have a spinal disability, and just had spine surgery 7 weeks ago. I'm still weak, and need assistance while walking long distance. The woman at guest services stated yes, they had 2 scooters available. Within 10 min we were parked and on our way into entrance D to rent the scooter. At first she didn't want to rent it to my husband, staying they have these for people with "mobility issues". My husband stated I do have mobility issues, she then questioned where my walker, wheelchair or crutches were.. asking things like this is against ADA rules. Not everyone "wears" their disability, and should not feel ashamed or harassed to rent something to help ease them into doing normal outings with their family.

My husband stated my wheelchair was in the truck, but him being 6'5 sometimes it's nice to not have to hunch over to push me. I also have a handicap placard. She reluctantly gave us the keys and was rude upon our return as well. My medical health is not her business and I shouldn't be shamed any time I want to come in and visit the mall and spend money. Her attitude and professional demeanor was awful. If she's the keeper of the scooters, you might want to let her know about laws for the disabled. I shouldn't have to bring in my wheelchair or other mobility devices to prove my disability to her, or...

As far as indoor malls go, this is actually a pretty nice place. I keep hearing how malls are dying now, but this place seems to have good traffic anytime I visit. The stores have good variety and there are some really unique options for food. It is very safe and family friendly. The bathrooms are kept clean and well stocked.

There are several stores that you cannot find elsewhere nearby, making it well worthwhile to spend time there.

Attractions in the corridors are almost nonexistent, minimal kiosks too. I have never seen any uniformed security. On the other hand, I have never seen any need for security there. Everything is well lit with good signage.

I have to minus a star though due to the parking lots. One issue is there is an AMC theater there and too many people park near the mall entrance and then walk over to see a movie. So when I go to my favourite stores, I have to park further away than I like. The other issue is some of the entrance/exit lanes were not well planned. The worst one which requires you to go out of your way to get back on to the main road (County B I think) is currently under construction, so hopefully they fix that issue.

Overall it is a great place to visit and offers a lot that other Cities malls...

I would say the biggest drawback of going here is the lack of servers. Every time we have been here there has only been one server for the entire place. Obviously that makes getting another drink, following up on your food received, ordering something additionally, etc. nearly impossible. The first time we were here it was great. Now I am not "digging" it. The second drawback was my food choices. My pizza had such a soft crust I had to eat it with a fork. I couldn't pick it up. I would have sent it back, but our server never returned. Another item to avoid, the chili and cheese covered sweet potato waffle fries. The waffle fries are mushy and it is just a pile of chili slop with some liquid cheese over it. Disappointment. Again, no server to tell it was not good. The desserts are not worth it either. Had the bacon donut holes with caramel over ice cream. Bacon was kind of chewy and raw in the donut. You can imagine the flavor.. ish. However, the steak nachos are really good. Overall they need to have more staff. I always make sure to get a water up front because you will never get another beverage after you initially are seated. The menu items are good in theory, but the execution is lacking. They need to be tested more. Perhaps it is just this location. I will give them a few more chances before I take them off of my...
