Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Roseville

Let's just say I was very disappointed was not just one employee but with three long line one register open the one lady asked a guy to call for another cashier he tells her to do it herself she says no you do it so he comes stomping over there grabs the intercom phone and ask for the other lady to come up to the front in a very harsh manner the lady that asked him to call up another cashier spent extreme amounts of time chit-chatting with each customer that was at her register and the line kept getting longer and longer and longer so the other cashier finally shows up she asked for next in line now I've already been standing there and I was only the third person back for about 10 maybe 12 minutes so next in line moves over to that one excuse me I was fourth person back and that left a lady that was in front of me to be next on the line that we were in so I proceeded to move over to the new open line because I would be next over there and was told I needed to return to the original line and of course everybody had already moved up in their position so then I'm standing in the middle of nowhere and I happen to look up at the wall and seeing that Ollie's doesn't accept any credit cards which I was there to purchase an air conditioner and some other products so I had about $300 worth of stuff in my cart totally frustrated I had to walk out what a...

Ollie's has a lot of good deals on a huge variety of items. Some things have low prices and some things are just cheap...and for a reason. This store is laid out pretty well so most things are easy to find which is good because store help can be hard to find. And some of the staff doesn't really know where things are just where they should be. If you get a flier in the mail with a really good deal on a normally hot item you'd better get there the day you get the flier or it will be gone fast. Get the Ollie's card and sign up for email offers to get points and special offers/coupons and check your junk mail for fliers. My main interests here are books (a huge selection of hobby/special interest and cook books) at really low prices and toys (like electronic toys, drones, etc.) but then again get there quick. They are fully open now during this pandemic which is nice but may also be the reason why store help is hard to find because everybody is short staffed right now and before this good help was easier to find here. August 25,2023 Editing/updating my review: I purchased lawn chair cushions- 9 of them since they were 33% off. After I left I checked my receipt and found that I was charged full price for each one so about $70 over charged. So I went back and I was refunded the difference however inquired about the scanning reward and told "no because it was a cashier error not a scanning error". And that simply stated- they don't honor that. I just felt that they were doing me the favor by refunding my $70 that I had to return to the store to get. So I'm not attempting to be snarky- however I will be checking my receipts and have a slightly negative feeling about Ollie's now.

Review from 4 years ago so about 2019: Warehouse style shopping- clean store- out of the box type display for most items.
