I placed a large order that included many large pieces of furniture and area rugs. Some of the items were to be delivered by UPS while others would be "in home delivery" and delivered to my home at a set date and time. The Pottery Barn order tracker did not align with the UPS tracking and on two instances I came home from work to find large pieces of furniture and rugs outside my building. A few weeks later I received an alert from UPS that an expensive chair that was supposed to be "in home delivery" was out on the truck. I was not able to be home and called Pottery Barn and asked what happened. They couldn't tell me what happened but they were able to ask UPS to return the item to their warehouse. I explained that I live in the city and am traveling for work and I need to have all of the remaining items delivered at the scheduled date and time. I was assured that this was a mistake and that everything would be scheduled for in home delivery. Last night (three weeks after the last item escaped from the warehouse) I walked up to the building and saw an enormous box on my stoop. I was surprised to find that the box was addressed to me, and my chair had been sitting on my stoop all day. I checked my order again on the Pottery Barn website and the site indicated that it is set for in home delivery. The Pottery Barn tracking system does not provide accurate information, and the staff seems to have no information about where my furniture is. I wish that I had ordered from a different store. I really like the pieces that I ordered, but this has become nothing but an...
Read moreI have to say that after the “customer service” I received today and the time prior at the Ross Park location, Pottery Barn has lost me as a customer forever.
I ordered an entire bedroom set, bedding, and living room chair - I never received a notification letting me know I had rewards. When I went to the store to ask about them, the 3 standing behind the counter seemed annoyed with me and basically said “too bad.” I was very nice and they just seemed too self involved to even care or point me in the right direction.
I then went on to order a pricey electric fireplace from them and they advised me to come back to the store and ask about my rewards from that purchase to ensure they went through that time, so I went into the store today to inquire. A 30ish brunette at the counter looked at me emotionless, without blinking, seemed annoyed that I was even asking her a question and said to me “I don’t see anything here under your phone number.” She just stared at me blankly until I said “uh okay, thanks????” RUDE, rude, rude employees every time I am in there spending tons of money. I will take my business elsewhere. I hate to post such a negative review around the holidays, but they are certainly NOT the jolliest bunch in that store and ruin my experience every...
Read moreOrdered some furniture for store pickup. Abby from the store called to let me know they were ready for pick up. Was very rude to me on the phone saying I should never buy anything from the online store bc it does nothing for the local store. She seemed annoyed that she had to make the call to have me pick them up. I explained that I didn’t know that and I was sorry and would order through the store from now on. She told me where to pick them up at the dock and made an apt. Then the day I went to pick them up I was called and told to come to the store instead. I did that and Abby asked if I could carry them through the mall to my car. She said they weren’t heavy. She was right they weren’t heavy, but they were awkward to carry. Then I asked to pick them up at the dock instead and she sighed and said yes, but again seemed bothered by the fact that I didn’t do what she wanted. She also gave me a once over and looked at me as if I shouldn’t be shopping there. It was an absolute horrible customer service experience. I’m surprised she works in customer service at all. I have shopped at the South Hills location previously and would prob make the trip out there instead of dealing with anyone...
