Rent-A-Center — Local services in Russell

I would not recommend dealing with them. Went to rent a TV on Saturday 11/23 and I told them the only way I am going to go through all this is if by the following Saturday I can have to TV delivered and they said that should be no problem. So they got all the references verified and were shown a paystub. Then they said they couldn't do anything further till Monday because they had to verify Employment. Which was fine and understandable. Monday rolled around and it was getting later in the day and we still hadn't heard anything so we called down there to check on stuff. They said no one answered the number we gave so we gave them a different number to try and called boss to let him know someone would be calling. Didn't hear back from them so Tuesday I called them and asked them if they got everything verified and they said Yes! Everything looks good you just need to bring your card info in and then we will deliver it Saturday 11/30. Took card info in and they said thanks everything is good we will see you Saturday. Saturday comes and I had to run a few errands so I called down there to get a roundabout time when they would be here deliver it.

They say well it looks like we need to verify from the owner of the home (which is my mother she inherited the house and gave it to us. We just haven't had it switched over to our name yet). She has to come in to verify you guys live there and we can bring product in the house.

This would have been aggravating but fine had someone called and let us know. No one has called to update us with anything since we started this process we've had to take the initiative first. When I took the card info in I was told everything was fine and they took my card info.

It's been nothing but this excuse and that excuse since we started and I personally believe it's the employee's being down right lazy. I have never had this much trouble out of a place ever in my life.

They've lost my business indefinitely. Another rental place I've dealt with has been called and they are more than happy to deliver today so that is what I am doing. Only reason I decided to go with Rent-A-Center is because they had a better quality TV. If I could give 0...

The worst place to buy furniture from!! My husband and I bought a bedroom set and living room set and within a few months our house was infested with bed bugs from the furniture we received from rent a center we called and we were blamed for the bed bugs!!! We were told it did not come from them when it did!!! This happened in August and it's now November we spoke to the district manager and they were supposed to send an exterminator to get rid of the bed bugs all they did was have someone come and inspect we've been calling and calling and nothing can be done apparently now we have to again wait to speak to a district manager about this issue that should have been dealt with in August!!! I now have no furniture or anything to sleep on because Everytime I get something it gets infested with bed bugs!! I now have to wait to buy any furniture whatsoever until there gone!! Last night while I was at my sister's place rent A center employees showed up wanting a payment. It was past dark, It was past business hours and the 2 men were in street clothes, They did not even have a uniform. It was a very unprofessional act showing up at that time and not even in a uniform. Something like this would sketch anybody out, Men coming up asking for card information past business hours and not even in company uniform And could have turned into a deadly situation. Luckily this morning I Called to speak to an employee Laticia And she alleviated my concerns.
