I came here at least once a week when I first bought my house. Not so much anymore, but that is because I don't need anything. I have found a lot of nice items. This GW is a lot cleaner then some of the other ones I have seen in Tucson. There are particular locations that I never find anything at and dislike going into. They're unorganized, dark and dirty. GV/Sahuarita has the White Elephant which does not even compare to this GW; I have the Elephant. A lot of the time I am here late at night and there are only a few customers. There is tons of parking, and you're not fighting for a spot like at the Elephant. I will say that when there is a 50% off sale I try to avoid it. There are a lot of people on those days, and it is hard to find a cart or get a changing room. People push you out of the way, fight for things, steal items from your cart, and let their children run around the store wild. It's not GW's fault, it's just the customers wanting a bargain. If you're going to come to any GW I recommend this one or the one over by Catalina Highway. I would wear clothes that allow you to slip things over, and come at a reasonable time. Just because theyre open until 9 doesn't mean you should run in at 8:55pm. Allow time if you're searching...
Read moreThey started off good with friendly staff and pretty good prices for used stuff. Then it just went the other direction. The prices increased by about 50% way overpriced for used and worn out stuff, and the staff was a revolving door and be same anything other then friendly. I was with a friend who was just trying on clothing with a mentally ill person who had a bad day and was forced to leave the store with out the chance of being able to make them listen or speak to friends condition that they don't have the right to say isntaloud to come back and legally they would have been fired had we taken any action to enforce those laws that keep the mentally disabled from being treated poorly as a result of what they cant controle or lack of a few minutes to be a little more patient and more important to be treated with respectful and caring people who are going to make it a good shopping experience for everyone who has the right to be there instead. We wont be supporting a place that will say they are nonprofit and still have paychecks for power trip employees who have no social skills or experience...
Read moreThis used to be a great location to find deals but recently they’ve been pricing sky high. I don’t even stop in anymore. Hopefully they become over run with inventory and get the hint. Update 1/15/22 It seems like since Covid this location has been lacking in products. I thought maybe there were less donations coming in but a quick look in back showed donations piled to the ceiling and wall to wall. The electronics section used to be full, even overflowing with merchandise. It’s a Barron wasteland now. 1 maybe 2 DVD players and nothing else. Another look into the back area through the double doors yielded another find…..20-30 bins labeled electronics/collectible/for goodwill e-store. That’s right, they cherry-pick anything of value and send it off to be sold on eBay or their online store. Leaving us customers to sift through overpriced junk that isn’t worth them selling on their store. Pretty sad really, how this store has declined so rapidly in such a short...
