On October 9th, my husband and I were in St Augustine celebrating our anniversary, as we were walking down to go to A1A Ale Works we stumbled on the cool shop called Mod Mari. My husband and I spent at least 30 mins just browsing, they had some really cool stuff. Well, needless to say we made a substantial purchase. One of those purchases was a cute cheap dress that was on the clearance rack and it was supposedly a design from the owner. I didnāt try the dress on I figured I could wait until I got to the hotel and if it didnāt fit not a big deal it was super cheap. The next morning I tried the dress on. The dress was super cute and it fit. However, the strap broke. I was thinking no big deal Iāll just exchange the dress....Was at the store when it open to do the exchange. The sales associate preceded to to tell me they donāt return or exchange clearance items. Ok, I get that But the product was defective and Plus they had plenty of the same dress on the rack. The sale associate called the owner and the owner was like too bad Iām not refunding her money, I stated I didnāt want a refund I just wanted to exchange the dress. Well needless to say my husband had an armful of stuff when he walked to counter to purchase and I looked at him said they arenāt gonna exchange the dress. He looked me Said screw it and dropped the items on the counter and we walked out. My message to other patrons of this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat little shop. Fun, unique. Some items a bit pricey but a wide selection. What Rachael and the rest of the sales people should do is let customers know that there are no returns when they are at register, especially when you see they did not try items on. Not good practice when many of your customers are out of towners and can not use a store credit. The sign at front is small and actually can be missed because it is so busy there with stuff. The sign for discounts for police, first responders and military should be more obvious too. Had an unpleasant experience because not only did Rachael not mention it which would have been the polite and professional thing to do, she also told me when I went back in to use my friend's credit and I added a sale dress to the order when I saw the military sign, she said "oh I am sorry, I can't give that to you unless it is before I ring up order". Well why not cancel it and redo it? She then said" you guys really missed out this time". You think? This time as though there would be another time we would want to visit? She had time to chat it up and tell us so many things about her life but failed to mention something that as customers, we could have used. Just a little consideration so that our experience did not become...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! Look, I don't care if you are all about current fashions or not, you WILL find something way cool in here. I use a wheelchair and managed to wind my way through here, and almost knocked something over. I was apologizing left and right, and the lovely young woman working here was like, "Oh, I knock things over all the time!" I can't tell you how much I appreciate someone trying to make me feel better about my navigation skills LOL. If I could wear heels, I would be allll over the shoes in this store. My teenage son LOVED the sunglasses in here. My husband and I loved the vintage band tshirts. I actually loved a lot of the stuff in here - if my budget allowed, I would have bought more in here. Adorable staff, cute merch. . .GO INSIDE THIS STORE! And, since I do have a million issues, I could NOT leave without buying the "More Issues Than Vogue" v-neck shirt. It's soft and I LOVE that it's a v-neck. It was hard to pick a color, but I love purple, so then I had to decide between the...
