These people really know their stuff and they really go out of their way to help you. The club membership basically pays for itself if you buy one pair of running shoes, and you save for a whole year. I look forward to joining in on the free club runs too! Oh and the Hoka's shoes may look funny but take the advice and try them.
Update: I ended up feeling very out of place here in the running club. The second time I bought a pair of shoes here was during the pandemic and the lady helping me was actually guilting me for wearing a mask because she could “not understand me.” Was not a fan. I also was the only beginner in the group and store and felt very uncomfortable around them honestly. I asked a lot of questions about the shoes and even though there was practically no one there she still got frustrated with me. Understandable, but it’s not a place for beginner runners or people running for fun. Maybe I just had a bad experience here the second time, but I’m still not going back on principle alone. No one should feel bad for wearing a mask. This was 2020 btw. Full blown pandemic, when many places treated the few customers they had nicely and respectful of...
Read moreThe store is well-kept and well-stocked. I bought a pair of Goodr sunglasses. These are inexpensive, polarized and have a modern look. Thanks to Jackson and the store manager (?), who were helpful and attentive.
I checked to see if they carry Oofos slides since I walk a lot and go through them fast. Usually I buy them on Amazon. However, the price is the same here. I can't recommend Oofos enough if you have foot problems like plantar fasciitis from walking or running. They will change your life. Try them on. If you're not picky about looks, just get the regular OOahhs. You'll notice the difference right away, even compared to other good well-engineered sandals like Reef's Ortho series.
Fit2Run is a local chain based in Bradenton. If you're downtown it's worth taking the time to find it tucked away in what appears to be an old house next to the Sundial shopping center. It's a short walk from more expensive stores on...
Read moreI recently had the most incredible experience at a running shoe store while buying my first pair of running shoes. I walked in completely clueless about the specifics of running shoes and how they should fit. Fortunately, the staff at the store went above and beyond to assist me.
Even though I don't know the name of the guy who helped me, I was amazed by the level of service I received. My feet were scanned and measured, and based on the results, I was provided with a selection of running shoes that fit me perfectly. The attention to detail and personalized approach made all the difference.
I am extremely grateful for the outstanding service I received at this store. Thank you for making my first running shoe shopping experience so pleasant...
