Pacific Counter - Downtown St. Pete — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I was in the mood for a bowl so I thought I would order online and I mistakenly thought the only difference between the large and small bowl was the number of bases and proteins( wrong, the small is obviously quite a bit smaller). I have my doubts the large would be much of an improvement. The tuna was fresh with a few chewy pieces spread throughout but even paying for extra didn't yield enough to be a good value for the price. The avocado I asked for was literally 3 razor thin slices and the cucumber was the same while the shrooms were more abundant than expected or desired. I ordered it on greens so it was basically a side salad portion. I liked the counter pick up but literally no one looked up or even acknowledged me even as I yelled thank you. The last straw was trying to find a way to get to the restaurant as most of the parking was either a tow away zone courtesy of the City of St. Pete or there was simply no where available and it was raining. I drove around for ten minutes and just as I was about to pull into a spot someone in a truck cut me off and rushed into the spot so I had to drive around for another 5. In my honest opinion if your looking for a fresh bowl that is a good value for the money and parking is never an issue go to Ciccio Cali instead and save yourself the hassle and enjoy a great meal. I can proudly say that I've eaten here about six times since it's opened, each time better than the last. Located in Central Ave, it's easy to stop on in while enjoying the boutiques, galleries and surrounding scenery. The service is always phenomenal as there are so many staff members that are all so positive and happy to help.

You have options to "Roll it or Bowl it". The standard price of these options are $12, and the add-on prices for extra items are reasonable.

I typically opt for the bowl, however my boyfriend is a big fan of building his own sushi burrito. If you build your own, you are allotted: two proteins, five toppings, and one sauce -- however, if you're not feeling too adventurous -- there are "Counter Creations" to choose from.

Other items I've fallen in love with are their poke nachos (your choice of tuna or salmon), frozen Kirin, juice fountain full of tropical flavors along their beverage wall -- and of course, their signature Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float!

I come here often for lunch but today was not a good experience. I arrived today around 3:15 pm. When I walked in the place was empty and no employees acknowledged us. We stood and waited to order for a while. One employee told us she’d be right with us after standing for a couple minutes. She continued to change trash bags for a while and never ended up helping us. Another employee that was filling up sauces came over to help us once she realized her coworkers weren’t going to help us. This girl was so sweet and after I ordered a lot of people came in and she was yelling for help but her two coworkers didn’t even acknowledge her. I did not get their names but this girl doing all the work had red curly hair. One of the other workers had dark brown hair with some highlights tied up in a bun. The other had short hair.
