The Black Cat Curiosity Shoppe is an experience — think museum meets shopping and choosing from local artistry, delectable teas, meaningful, unique momentos and more. I had the pleasure of taking home some incredible teas from the shoppe that my friends have loved, and a handmade knitted ghost toy that I gifted to my friend’s son for his birthday that he is in love with. Amazing experience at this shop. It was an October weekend so there was somewhat of a line but this was my daughter’s number one shop she wanted to see (she loves cats). The wait was worth it. The lady outside made the wait go fast as she chatted with us waiting in line and got us excited to go inside. I cannot say enough good things about every person who worked here- every single employee was warm, inviting, knowledgeable and fun. We had a fun interaction inside with my daughter (don’t want to spoil anything by giving details.) Obviously there was a lot of cat memorabilia a merchandise. But there was so much more - from many movies I watched as a child. I was excited to purchase an Auryn pendant that Artreyu wore in The Never Ending Story. We all left shoot. I had gone in earlier in the day and saw an item that I was interested in, but wanted to think on it. Well, on our way back to our car, I decided I had to get it, unfortunately the shoppe had closed already. However, much to my luck, a lovely lady named Kristin, was standing outside for one of their tours and overheard me saying I was upset I missed getting back to them before they closed. Totally my fault, but then low and behold Kristin comes up and asks what was going on and said "let me see what I can do". Well, with her amazing help and the very nice gentleman, Dan, I was able to make my purchase! I am very appreciative of their customer service and thankful for them going the extra mile for me....
