A diverse group with 2 Pros (20+ escape room visits) 1 amature (5 escape rooms) 1 newbie (first ever escape room) The room we booked was the witches room which was 10/10 the puzzles were excellent. Well thought out puzzles for the entire group quite naturally working together as well as splitting up into groups of 2 to complete puzzles. The magic theme was so well done. As one of the pros I have seen so much tech poorly integrated. This was well done tech, well done story telling. There was a character to interact in the game with you which is something I have never seen before. The owner was facilitating our game and I know she must have been a D&D dungeon master because her character work and improv ability was incredible. We had so much fun we decided to book the other room afterwards. We got a discount to try the next room (the office) and we're just as impressed. Once again, entirely different technology! Normally when I try multiple rooms at one vendor you get the same kinds of tech and puzzles with just different solutions and a different theme. This was another immersive and well done story telling. We each had our own puzzles to solve. Perfect for a group of four. Now that I'm done gushing about how impressed I am by what they did here, they additionally went above and beyond to make me feel special as the Bride to be. This was such a great way to spend 60 minutes (plus the next 30 gushing about it over dinner) in Salem. Our group of four played Witch's Hollow (my 15th escape room ever, our 6th escape room as a group, but our 1st escape room at Stained Hourglass Escape) and it did NOT disappoint. There were puzzles/solutions I had never seen/done before and the interactions with the Game Master really delighted us, like having a fifth friend in the room who isn't there to do anything but vibe and provide comedic relief. There were different sensory cues that directed our attention in the right direction and hints were never blatantly given, which we loved because it didn't feel like we were being directed to the answer.
