Listen, the pizza tastes really good. It's an impressive pizza.
But 32 dollars is an INSANE price to charge for a single cheese pizza ($20 base charge for a cheese pizza, 1.25 tax, 1.49 "service fee," 4.95 delivery fee, $4.00 (20%) tip because I'm not a jerk. Total price $31.69...for a single cheese pizza).
The pizza didn't even arrive hot.
And it wasn't 18 inches as described.
And there were only 6 slices.
I'll never order from them again until something changes about this situation. It was delicious, but the cost was simply foolish.
Update: the business owner replied to me, I can't reply directly to them, so I will update my original review. They wrote to me:
"Joseph, thanks for the compliment on our pizza. But then your review goes sideways. You are blaming us for the delivery fee(Uber sets this), tax and tip(your decision)? Which goes to the third party delivery driver btw not anyone that works here. Then you give US the low rating?! Your ire and frustration is clearly misdirected. Oh yeah and if you haven't noticed, EVERYTHING costs more since January. I wonder why that is, again not our fault"
Here's my response:
Garcon Super Slice Pizza Pie Parlor does not employ their own delivery drivers, so to get your pizza, when I order direct from your website, I am forced to use the third party vendor you choose and have to pay those fees. I didn't want that, which is why I went to your website in the first place, to make sure I was paying you and not some third party who takes a cut. But I guess you want that? This is YOUR business model, so that is YOUR choice of how you choose to do business. If you charge me added fees, you made that choice and it changes my bottom line as your customer.
If you think that tipping a delivery driver is my choice, you are also mistaken. Gig workers need that money to make any sort of wage, it would be wrong for me not to tip.
These are all expenses, including tax, you are required to factor into your business model when delivering your product to your customer. You have failed to think about what the experience of ordering a pizza from you is like, and if 30+ dollars is worth it for one pizza.
You did not comment on the fact that a $20 base price regular cheese pizza was smaller than advertised and only 6 slices, either.
Listen, I really like your food, but I'd be a fool to pay that cash again for one undersized cheese pizza that wasn't even warm when it was delivered. Yes, prices have gone up everywhere, but most pizzerias in the area are still beating your price.
You can take the review in the good faith in which it was posted, as it is completely honest, or you can argue with your disappointed customer who has valid concerns. But there's a lot of fantastic pizza makers in the area, no one is obligated to visit your establishment. I ordered based on a good recommendation; can't say I'll be coming back any time soon...

The restaurant is very clean and spacious, unlike many cramped places. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even providing high chairs for little ones.
Now, onto the food. They offer a great selection of toppings. We ordered a large cheese pizza, and my wife tried two slices of their specialty meatball and ricotta pizza. Both were cooked to perfection with a satisfying crunch. The cheese tasted fresh and was delicious. My wife, who had never tried meatball and ricotta pizza before, found it to be a perfect combo.
We stayed for almost an hour, and our toddler was content the entire time. One of the employees kindly offered him a delicious homemade cookie, which was a lovely touch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will...
