I honestly never leave bad reviews, but today the person at UPS was particularly rude and not helpful at all. I went there to mail a box of Christmas gifts to my parents and family in Italy that I can't visit these holidays because of Covid. I knew that the shipping address would have been hard to spell so I wrote it down on a piece of paper. Some things where not necessarily obvious - for example which one was the zip code, or the phone area code - but every time I tried to help him in the process, he would just cut me short saying "I know that!". When he printed out the label and the docs for me to sign to confirm the recipient address, the name of my hometown was completely wrong, a different name altogether. So after I pointed it out, I gave him again the piece of paper with the address, and second time he wrote down only half of the name of my hometown. I pointed that out again, and that the phone number was "spelled" wrong - the area code was not correctly separated from the rest of the phone number. When asked for my parents phone number, first he wanted "all number" but when I wrote down their number included Italian area code, he asked me "what is this?" and then when we took out the Italian area code, he did not separate correctly the region code from their number. He did change this, visibly annoyed, and then he asked me to go behind the counter to doublecheck the entire address since, his words, I was making him waist a lot of paper. At this point I was really in distress and almost to the verge of leaving, so - my mistake - I didn't notice he now misspelled the name of the Italian district in the address. He printed out the label and I noticed the mistake, but he was really annoyed but the idea of printing it one more time, so I just left it the way it is. I left really upset by the awful costumer care that I received. Read moreBusiness owners beware, I was told I could bring a large amount of packages to this location instead of having UPS pick them up from my warehouse because it would benefit their store. I was more than happy to help out another local business. I was told to call ahead each time I needed to drop off packages. I did just that and was told to come down. Upon arrival I went in and asked if the two employees were ready for me to bring them in. I was told “you need to drop off the packages to the distribution center or have UPS drivers pick them up because the drivers are complaining”. I said that I was already told to bring them here. He said they would do me a favor this one time but I could not do it again. Obviously this upset me so I requested to speak to the owner and see if that’s what they wanted since there seemed to be a miscommunication with their team. I was told that I could not talk to the owner and they had the right to refuse service (basically saying leave). So I left and went right over to the Swampscott UPS who were not only more than happy to receive the packages but encouraged me to bring them there consistently because it would benefit them. Sound familiar? I’m not sure what the deal is with this location but what a horrible way to treat...
Read moreWhen I set out today, I was expecting to have to make two stops: UPS and USPS, but the customer service at UPS was fantastic and took care of all my needs! I stopped in to UPS to pick up a printing order for some USPS shipping labels, and to drop off some items for an Amazon return. When I arrived, the young gentleman who helped me had my printing order ready and had identified that my printing order was for USPS shipping labels, and had taken the initiative to place them inside those shipping cover slips that are so convenient, which meant no cutting or folding of the papers, just peel and stick to my package. He was able to receive my Amazon return without any issues, and finally offered to receive my USPS packages as well! Lastly, I was able to mail my friend some cake via ground shipping that would have it delivered by tomorrow. The cherry on top was the book of stamps I was able to purchase.
