On 7/8/25 I went in and received a quote for a $4,600 sectional at the Home Zone San Angelo that included additional throw pillows that I added. I was surprised that local delivery was not included. Usually if you spend X amount of dollars locally delivery will be included just to sweeten the deal. However, there was a sale going on that included a free dog bed so that made up for it. My quote included the dog bed so once I measured at home and the sectional fit I came back today 8 days later on 7/16/25 to purchase. Once I got in I looked around for other furniture pieces for my daughters and myself. Got two additional quotes & dimensions for chest & dressers. Then went back up to the counter with my sectional quote from 7/8/25 told the sales person Kat I was ready to purchase the sectional. Kat began recreating the quote once we got down to the end she said you won’t be getting the dog bed anymore you’ll have to pay for it, the sale ended yesterday. I said but I just got this quote a week ago she said well it ended do you want to pay for the dog bed? I told her I’m paying $4,500+ dollars can I just get the dog bed? She said no the sale ended. I said well I was turned off in the beginning about delivery but now I’m not getting the dog bed either. I was willing too if I still got the dog bed. Kat said well I’m not going to twist your arm it’s going in your house. I said okay, thank you. And she handed my quote back to me and I left. Ultimately the dog bed was not what cancelled the sale but Kat’s cold attitude and lack of customer service to even try and consult a manager on duty.Kats demeanor seemed as if she was uninterested in making a sale or wanting my business. This experience didn’t just stop the sale of a $4,600 sectional but won’t have me returning to purchase any dressers for my girls. I’m not anyone special but if I was her I definitely would have tried to speak with a manager to just inquire if there was something that could be done. Just the extra step of trying...
Read moreDavonte was absolutely amazing! Walking into the San Angelo store we were greeted by him and a few other associates. We only had intentions of looking around for end tables. He approached us in a friendly manner, explained the layout of the store (which was clean and organized) and told us if we needed any help at all to just let him know. He was not overbearing, we began to look at tables and our attention quickly changed to couches and sectionals as our current one was extremely old and worn down. He did not hover over us, he actually encouraged us to take out time try out different ones, when we found one that we both really liked, he was available for us to ask questions, explained the entire process of all available payment options, still not pressuring us to buy. We had no intentions on purchasing anything, just get an idea and instead we fell in love with our new sectional, Davonte's customer service and attention to detail, and his ability to connect with us on a personal level even if we don't agree 100% on football prospects. lol Seriously though, Davonte is a huge asset to your company and in large part due to him, you have earned 2 new loyal customers. Thank you for making this experience a great one, we will see you when it's time to get our next piece of furniture! **Update - Rene and another gentleman delivered our sectional Saturday, they were quick efficient, and explained the entire set up process, the room we originally intended to put our sectional in was too small, I measured wrong, he explained our options to return part of it if we wanted to I was not expecting this. We chose to keep it all because we really wanted the entire thing, we just chose to switch it to another room we know it will fit in. everything was plastic and blanket wrapped and set up and working before they left. Upon arrival, Meagan approached us, introduced herself, reiterated to us (we have shopped here before) that the sales team is still non-commission, and told us she would let us browse but she’d be available if we had any questions. As we roamed about and looked at several options, Meagan checked on us a couple of times, but there was never a feeling of being pressured into a decision. We told her that we would need to go home and take some measurements (we had measured for furniture, but not an area rug that we decided we would need). She gave us her card and told us that if we needed any thing from her, including measurements on anything we were interested in, to give her a call. We shopped at a few other places, went home & took our measurements and ultimately decided on a set from Home Zone. We went in this afternoon, and again, Meagan was great to work with. She was very helpful, answered all of our questions and helped us finalize the sale & delivery/set up. We really enjoy buying from Home Zone, as they are a Texas based company, their sales force is no-pressure, super easy to work with and their prices are very competitive.
