Absolutely terrible customer service provided by Anabell around 1500L completely ruined my experience at Home Depot. Anabell made my visit at Home Depot an absolute nightmare. She was extremely rude, sarcastic, and unwilling to do her job (constantly lied because she wanted to do the bare minimum or not be inconvenienced; "I'm really not sure"). Definitely made me feel as if I was a complete bother to her. I had to constantly ask for a manager, for her to do anything. The initial reason I asked for a manager was because she couldn't process a return, thats when I asked if a manager would be able to resolve the issue. Alyssa was able to help fix my return that Anabell refused to resolve and told me it couldn't be done. Alyssa was very helpful and quickly processed my return without issue. Not sure why Anabell was so rude and lied about what she was able to with regards to issuing a refund in the form of a gift card. I gave her all required items such as driver license and military ID and my receipt. I honestly have not had an experience this terrible with Home Depot ever at any Home Depot across the United States. I've got a Home Depot Pro and Military Account in which I'm not sure I will ever use again. If this is what can be expected from Home Depot, then I will take my business to the other DIY Home Improvement stores in town. Just to recap the 1 star (0 stars) is for Anabell's unwillingness to help, negative attitude, and lieing to me about processing my return. For Alyssa's help and quickly resolving the issue she deserves 5 stars. I would also like to say "Thank you" to Alyssa for her helping resolve the issue ensuring I was able to get out of Home Depot and not have to put up with Anabell for any longer than I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese past few weeks have been nothing short of devastating for my family and me. We lost nearly everything in the floodāour home, our belongings, the sense of security we once had. Weāve been doing everything we can to pick up the pieces, one step at a time. So when I walked into Home Depot, I wasnāt expecting a miracleābut I was hoping for a little compassion.
I went in simply trying to buy a fridge. We donāt have one anymoreāitās gone, just like so much else. I was also trying to apply for a credit card to help cover the cost. I approached a staff member, Betty Pesina, and asked, āIs there anyone who can help me with the fridge purchasing process?ā Her response stunned me. She looked me up and down with what felt like pure judgment and said, āMaāam, I do not work in that department. Iām currently working in the countertop area. If no one is near fridge services, what makes you think I can help you?ā
She didnāt offer to call someone over. She didnāt show the slightest bit of empathy. She just dismissed meāin front of othersālike I was a burden. It was humiliating.
All I needed was kindness. I didnāt expect to be treated like an inconvenience while already feeling so broken inside.
Home Depot, maybe I am sensitive right now. Maybe Iām carrying too much pain. But thatās exactly why empathy matters. Please remind your staff that we never truly know what someone is going through. A little kindness couldāve changed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to home depot yesterday in search of two items. I didn't know where the items were, as I am not a frequent customer. I approached two different employees that were not helpful at all. The first one said "we don't carry what you are looking for." Which I knew was an erroneous statement. I had looked online and at the San Angelo store and not only did it say they carried the item, it said it was in stock. The second employee I approached said the item was in the flooring section. Which also was erroneous. The website said it was in electrical. I began to question the employee about where to find the item in the flooring department? He replied "That isn't my department, just ask them." I then asked where the flooring department was? He answered in an aggressive agitated tone "far back corner" as he pointed in the direction. I went to the flooring department looked all over and could not find my item. Finally I was aggravated and looked on the internet again in the store. After closer investigation I saw the in stock item was on aisle 6 bay 17. I went to that location and found exactly what I was looking for. Needles to say if you can't go to Lowe's and you must go to Home Depot do your research beforehand and don't ask their rude...
