I was hesitant to write this review but they asked for feedback about my experience so I will provide it. Let me first start by saying I am obsessed with the acai bowls at smoothie king, I frequent multiple locations multiple times a week for these bowls because they’re so good. They are, however, pretty pricey. I’m usually able to put the price aside because they typically make my bowls full and super yummy. This was my first experience at a new location and was the complete opposite of what I’m use to.
Firstly, whether to control portion size or to save time, the acai was already prescooped and placed in a separate freezer. This completely changed the texture of the base and made it more challenging to eat. Secondly, I pay an extra $1 to add the hazelnut topping because it’s that good. Unfortunately in this instance, every aspect of the bowl was lacking. The portion sizes for the fruit, granola and drizzle were sooo small I was shocked. I didn’t want to complain so I just asked if I could have more drizzle on top. The manager was quick to remind me it’s extra for more. I simply just wanted the portion size I typically get at other locations. She begrudgingly did add more hazelnut spread but conveniently not the peanut butter. I was over it at that point and ate my bowl so disappointed. I understand everything is getting more expensive, that price is factored into the costs of the bowl, but please don’t squeeze your customers of every dollar only to skimp them on the item they’re buying. The staff here is usually so friendly and welcoming, which makes this experience even more shocking and disappointing.On multiple occasions, I’ve encountered unprofessional behavior from the team captain, Katy. This is the third time I’ve visited when Katy was working, and each time I’ve had to wait two to three minutes for her to come to the front because she was in the back. When she does appear, she’s consistently rude and dismissive, which makes the entire experience unpleasant and very concerning.It’s disheartening to see this kind of behavior, especially when the rest of the team is so kind and professional. I truly believe excellent customer service is a vital part of any business, and in this case, I feel her employment and approach to customer care need to be reevaluated.I hope this issue can be addressed so that future visits continue to reflect the high-quality service I’ve come to expect from...
Read moreRay the owner has amazing customer service and is very pleasant to talk to, they were able to make me a smoothie with just fruit, I think they call it the angel food smoothie, they also have a very nice variety of avocado toast and peanut butter toast with fruits and honey, everything is extremely clean and the kitchen is completely open so you can see what's going on and the level of cleanliness they keep, I give them a lot of kudos! I will definitely be coming back, they also have a smoothie with cold brew coffee and protein called The Hulk, the medium has 33 g of protein and 166 mg of caffeine! That beats any offering from dutch bros or Starbucks! i will definitely be coming...
