This experience was blessings in many disguises. How to even put it into words. Last minute someone offered me a ticket. So I hurried up and got myself together. I managed to get there right before sunset. Being greeted by moms giving out hugs and handmade bracelets.
The views were stunning. As the sunset , the sail boats began to light up the night sky. Perfectly insightful above the front main stage. The stars and moon joined us in our dance into the night. There was a sense of peace and excitement as an old time fling surprised me with his presence. It is always a good time running into him in the wild of the music scene.
There was plenty of food and drinks to enjoy. The stages, production, and overall vibes were immaculate. Great photos opportunities everywhere. Plus the people had great style, attitudes , and dance moves. It did rain the last few hours but we all simply danced in the rain , embracing what was and allowing ourselves to surrender to what we simply could not control. We all looked great doing it too. The music and sound remained the entire time. Super impressive for the sound and production people. Considering the amount of rain. The old time fling did not offer me his jacket, which was such a disappointment. But then a very tall attractive new man did. So that was reassuring for the chivalry of men.
My only wish is that there were more art, jewelry, and clothing vendors though. Festivals in my opinion are a celebrations of the arts. Jewelers , painters , designers all included. Overall great experience. Thank you CRSSD for a memorable night. Until...
Read moreNo reentry? Really? The event starts at noon and ends at 11pm. How is this supposed to help local businesses if I can't leave? It's ridiculous with a pretty mellow lineup. Also, they don't do wristbands and if your friend bought you a 2 day ticket then they have to print it out and hand you a huge paper ticket that you somehow have to keep track of all night and until the next day. If you lose it, too bad for you. As far as security, that was a laugh. They have all sorts of crazy rules listed on their website of what you can't bring but they barely check your bag or pat you down to get through. No metal detectors. It made me feel real safe being crammed in with thousands of people in such a small area knowing that someone could have easily brought a weapon inside and there is nowhere to escape and I would probably just be trampled to death anyways. Save your money for a better festival that actually cares about its audience and the city and businesses...
Read moreThere were so many rules outlawing everything from smallish backpacks to decorative clothing to lighters. Then they hoarded everyone out of the event in total darkness without allowing people to go back to their lockers to retrieve items from lockers we paid for. They kept saying call lost and found the next day. Well there is no phone number. You have to file claims through the website. One month has passed and they have not responded to any of my emails They stole a Sansung S10 new phone, wallet, credit cards, a towel and cash. Apparently I have to sue them but they won't give their address and the ticket company, EvenrBrite, refuses to divulge names, phone numbers or addresses. So now I have a criminal charge and civil lawsuit ready to go except I have no address.
