I'm sorry because I know you read these and you're all very nice and the salon is clean and pretty but this was the wildest nail salon experience I ever had. I got a gel pedi, 2 acrylic mani, and my friend got a natural mani and all the services were like we wish we never did them. Everyone kept knicking my skin with the dremels. They did so much unnecessary damage to the nails with the dremel. The removal was so weirdly uneven and bad and painful. The gel pedi polish was applied like sponge paint and chipped already like I told them it would. My first acrylic set was so botched we scrapped it. It was sideways on my nails. I kept speaking up and she kept saying she'd fix it in the next set but I said don't paint it. The salon really wanted to try again and asked for 2-3 hours to put a new set on. It took probably 3 hours and it's just not good. It's uneven in every possible way - thickness length, shape, size, texture - it's snagging on everything. She said my nail beds are uneven and that's why but the acrylic is just overflowing and already starting to lift. The tech didn't know why the cat eye wasn't working so I told her it needs a base color and she said no it doesn't so it's just sheer now and looks like a basic shimmery sheer polish. I just wanted to leave so badly. It had been hours and my finger skin had been...

My husband and I were visiting La Jolla on vacation and decided to treat ourselves to the Summer Special Pedicures at La Jolla Shores Nail and Spa—and wow, what an experience! I also had a dip manicure with a nail repair, and I can confidently say the service was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and offered complimentary La Croix (a lovely touch!). The space itself is absolutely beautiful—clean, serene, and thoughtfully designed with brand-new, ultra-comfy chairs. The nail color selection was one of the best I’ve seen, curated by season and trend, which made choosing the perfect summer shade feel fun and inspired.
The staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. You can tell they truly care about going above and beyond for their clients. They were gentle, detail-oriented, and made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable. It’s rare to find a salon that delivers on both service and atmosphere so completely.
We also noticed how welcoming they were to clients of all ages—including kids! They did a fantastic job creating a family-friendly yet luxe environment.
Highly, highly recommend if you’re in the area—whether you’re a local or just visiting like we were. This will be a go-to spot anytime we return to La Jolla!...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at La Jolla Shores Nail and Spa yesterday! My girlfriend and I booked a last-minute spa day, and the staff responded quickly, confirming services, pricing, and payment details with ease.
The location is a hidden gem — just a couple of blocks from the beach with convenient parking behind the salon (or free street parking on Sundays). After our mani-pedi, my girlfriend suggested a walk, and it was perfect to stroll right down to the shore.
We went all out with the Glow Manicure and Diamond Pedicure (plus upgraded to hybrid gel), and I wouldn’t recommend starting with anything less if it’s your first time. My nails look amazing, my hands and feet are baby-smooth, and the hybrid gel feels sturdy and long-lasting — great for me since I only do my nails every 3–6 months and want them to last for upcoming events.
The vibe is clean, calm, and relaxing, especially for a salon that’s only been open five months. Most importantly, the staff is professional and respectful. They focus on the service without gossiping or asking intrusive personal questions — something I really value when I just want a quiet, pampered experience.
All in all, it’s absolutely worth the investment, especially if you plan to pair it with a beach walk before or after....
