HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! My Roommates and I drove 2 1\2 hours from Arizona to this establishment to get my roommates suit tailored. First of all when we walked in the store NONE of the staff even acknowledged us. We were profiled from the get go due to our age. While my roommate had to make his presence known to the staff, I looked around to potentially purchase another suit. While I browsed through their stock receiving no help what so ever, or still even any acknowledgement at that, my roommates had a problem of their own. The staff rudely asked if he was sure he purchased his suit at a men’s wearhouse as if stating that due to his age he couldn’t possibly afford this apparel and or was trying to pull one over on them. Meanwhile I also had to seek some sort of assistance. Finally finding a staff member to help me I made my purchase. The staff member was very uncaring and did not put much effort into it at all. My roommates and I pretty much served ourselves. The tailor agin was very quick with me, literally took my measurements in about 30 seconds and left. We were VERY displeased with their service; however the nightmare did not end just yet.
Second of all, upon purchase of the suit, we agreed they would mail the suit to my address as to the fact that they are unfortunately the closest men’s wearhouse to my residence. I made my purchase at the beginning of December 2012, the suit was to be tailored and shipped to me on the 23rd of December and I would receive it no later than 5 to 8 business days. January 2nd 2013 I called to check the status of my suit, granted the holidays had just passed I was very understanding that I had not received it. They assured me that it was shipped and I would receive it within the next few days. January 5th comes along and still no suit. I call agin to check the status, come to find out it HADN'T EVEN BEEN SHIPPED YET! If it was not for the fact that they were to ship it in 2 day express I would have flipped. Sadly the nightmare had yet to end. I received the suit just yesterday. It was STUFFED into a tiny UPS box. No bag, no hangers, NOTHING. The pants, vest, and sports coat were rolled up and jammed into this box, the box was beat up and had holes in it. The suits condition is awful, it’s much wrinkled, I found many loose threads, and to top it off the cuff measurements are wrong! The cuffs are a good 3 inches short. They assured me that I was receiving the slandered business cuff and it literally looks like I’m wearing my little brother's suit! I am furious!! Not only did the service suck, not only was I profiled, but my suit arrived almost a week late and in horrible condition, I can’t even wear it!!!! It’s safe to say I will NEVER shop there agin possibly not even any means wearhouse in California at that. I will gladly drive the extra hour to Phoenix from now on.
My roommate and I work at the largest Hotel in our city and have spent Thousands of dollars on suits at men’s warehouse, to be treated like this is appalling! Guest/Customer service is right down our alley and we can both assure that this is by far the worst service we have ever received. When you run a business you’re not only selling the product but the experience. We have a major new contract coming in and now I do not get to wear my new suit and feel that new refreshing confidence a suit should bring, Their corporate motto is "You’re going to like the way you look, I guarantee it" well In this case, with this suit I look like a damn joke. When I first called to inquire about rentals for myself and my groomsmen I was told I need to make an appointment, which I did. I showed up on time and still had to wait ~30 minutes before I was helped. A different employee later told me not to bother making an appointment there since you have to sign in and wait anyway. The store seems to be mismanaged since every time I called or was there the employees told me they were severely understaffed. This was not a one time thing, numerous different employees complained to me about this at different times spanning months.
The worst part was when I came in to get measured. The gentleman helping me literally 'eyeballed'/guessed about half of my measurements. After guessing my measurements I was supposed to try on the sample pieces before ordering to ensure a good fit, but they didn't have any of the correct pieces in stock, and I am not an unusual size, so I had to try on a bunch of poorly-fitting samples and he put in my order based on that. I was skeptical that my actual rental would fit well since he guessed my measurements and only had samples that didn't fit, so I called the store and asked if I could order the rental early so I could try on the actual suit before my wedding day. He said it was scheduled to be delivered 4 days before my wedding, but "I could could call and check if the truck was early if I wanted". When I came to try on and pick up my rental the shirt was too big relative to the jacket so I asked the associates there about it and they said it's normal for rentals and not to worry about it. Since it was days before my wedding it was too late to reorder so I took what I had.
Also, the clip-on tie they provided was bent and I asked the employees about that as well and they said I could try to bend it or use a clothespin. I ended up having to ignore the clasp which didn't work and use a key ring to hold the tie on.
Chronically understaffed, poorly stocked, horrible service, defective items. Now I have 800 wedding photographs with my sleeves sticking 4 inches out of the jacket and going half way down my hands.
