Truly wish I could give this place 0 stars. I booked an appointment for my dogs annual vaccines. When I arrived they said because this place was an animal hospital they had to charge me for a full exam before he could get his shots, so I went online and used my free exam voucher since I had taken time out of work. Then, the Vet came in she was kind and we talked about my dogs overall health when she left, her assistant came back in with an iPad trying to charge me for several service I said I did not want. She never went over the charges with me and they ended up charging me for a heartworm test specifically after I said I didn’t want it. When I told her that she said oh well you signed the iPad so you have to pay and I repeated that I had specifically said I didn’t want that. She left the room and came back saying I had to pay it because they had already uploaded it to their system and once again, I had signed the iPad so I had to pay for the test. On the way out she told me my dog tested positive for something if I even cared and then left without giving me any additional information. A week later, his records still haven’t been updated and I still have no additional information about what he tested positive for. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with not only a vet, but overall. Vets assistant was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was considering swapping over to Vetco, but I will never come back to one of their animal hospitals EVER again and I highly recommend the same for you and your pet. Read moreWas my first time and I won't go back based off the man at the reception. I loved my experience to a certain point. The vet tech was very nice and informative. Doctor was chill and informative. It did turn into an upsell situation and I had to get the paperwork revised for what I actually came in there for. I'm really giving this place a 1 star for my experience with the guy at front desk. Was my 1st time and based off with my ending interaction with him. He was not kind and once a new person came into the lobby he made comments like they are regulars and treated me like I need to just get out of his way. At end of it I was so put off by his customer service. I asked for assistance to exit since they put up a barrier and I had my dog who was already a nervous from the visit. The guy didn't move or say anything to help. I ended up dropping the barrier trying to move it to exit and struggled to pick it up with one hand. He clearly saw me struggling and ignored me to help the regular customer. I just felt pushed out and treated poorly at end of my experience. Was called by Vetco this morning to tell me they have to move my appointment (that i made weeks ago) and when I say I need to come in before tomorrow as I need the cert they let me know that they can't even do that until 12/26 because they don't have a doctor in for that. Ok, so why'd you make this appointment. I started getting frustrated because obviously my flights depend on having this cert and I ask the woman on the phone to help me find another vetco total care that can do this and she said she can't, I am now nearly in tears as I have to have this certificate and She then hung up on me and wouldn't answer when I called back. I called the Fashion Valley location where the person on the phone was so lovely and helpful and he instantly made me a new appointment at the La Mesa location with a doctor that can help me tomorrow. I will never return to the Sports Arena Vetco after this experience as they are unorganized, rude and unwilling to help.
